THIS pump is quieter by default, AND the feet are a nice soft yet firm rubber that doesn't vibrate loudly on my hardwood floors. This pump has been in operation for 8 months now, and I'm very pleased with it. Produces far more air than I can use for my 30 gallon, 2 air outputs, adjustable air flow, and oh so quiet! I don't even know it's on. Really! No vibration, good shocks and makes basically no noise. All you will hear is your bubbling water. When I bought this I compared it with four other pumps bought at the same time on Amazon, a Hygger, a Whisper, a Hiraliy, and a Persuper. Only one approached the quietness of this pump, the Persuper. The Persuper looked cooler and had electronic controls, but it was considerably more expensive and didn't have as precise a control over the air output. The Hygger advertised itself as the world's quietest pump, but I can assure you it isn't. Not terrible but definitely not as quiet as this one. The Hitop was the quietest pump and the best value by far. Personally I'm not crazy about how it looks, but that is just my preference. But I don't buy an air pump for its looks. I got this bubbler because I needed extra while I was tubbing my axolotls, since my tank is in my room silence is really important to me, though I find the sound of water very soothing. This bubbler is fairly quiet!! At first I thought it was loud but when you brain gets used to it i basically cannot hear it. I got this in Oct 2022 and love it. It’s silent, super cute, and kicks ass in my 20g and 55g tanks. I use it for sponge filters only and it’s quite powerful which is perfect for my Oscar. I want to warn people that may not be aware: keep this elevated above your tank if you can. After using it for almost a year and loving it, I suddenly saw water coming in from the sponge filters back into this pump! I tried clearing the tubing and realized water was spitting back out of the pump at this point so it was a fire hazard and trashed it asap. It was pretty scary. I tried talking to my heavily trusted fish store in my area and basically didn’t use the right valve/may have lost power but I am positive that I didn’t/kept the pump below water level and it allowed to feed water into the entire set up I had used and trusted forever. Glad I wasn’t out of town! Just be ultra cautious ... show more

Plenty strong enough to power 2 medium size easy flow sponge filters from Aquarium Co Op in my 36 gallon bow front. I have the pump in a cabinet and it’s quiet, even on full output setting. I would buy again and recommend.

I've used this for a few different project tanks over the last year and a half and continue to be baffled by the versatility and quietness of this pump. Having dual output and a flow regulator on the pump has saved me the headache of keeping all the extra little attachments and hose pieces because you can just set up and go. I mildly regret getting it with lights just because it becomes hard if you want to tuck it away from sight but that was entirely my fault. All and all when I need to buy another pump for another setup I will definitely be buying another one of these. ... show more
