So easy to put together a not so handy 40 something yr old mom with ADHD put 2 of these together in about an hour by herself with only the tools that were included in the box! They came with clear and concise directions along with well labeled pictures. The pieces are great quality. The box isn't terribly heavy but might need help carrying up stairs. When I pair these on either side of my expensive wood entertainment system you would never know that these pieces were a lot less expensive. This is a very solid ladder shelf. There was at least one extra machine screw for each size and one extra wood screw. It's very frustrating to try and put together furniture only to find missing parts. Everything lined up well and was simple to put together. The shelf's all have a three and a half inch back support that keeps you're items from falling off the back. Not all ladder shelf's have this feature. This is a nice ladder shelf that was pretty easy to put together, and it even came with the small screw driver that was needed. This seems to be very sturdy... definitely not junk. Great purchase.

I had all kinds of issues assembling these. I got two as you can see in the photo. Both were missing pre drilled holes in the METAL frame. Funny part was each one was in a different spot so I know it was a mistake. Luckily I have problem solving skills and made it work. One of the dowels was missing half and the hole for one of the adjustable fee was crooked. Again. I made it work. There is a reason these are affordable. In the end they are sturdy and look nice. Given recent negative experiences with assembly instructions from other companies, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with those included with this shelf unit. They were clear and easy to follow, with both pictures and grammatically correct text. All parts were included, with some spares, and it was well-packaged and free of flaws. I was worried about how sturdy it would be as I wanted it for books. The laminate shelves were made in China but the tube construction was made in Germany and it is sturdy. To start, the package arrived a day earlier than the window for projected delivery. The packaging was neat and well executed to ensure that there would be no damage. Directions for assemble were vary clear and accurate ( see pics). Assembly was straightforward and relatively easy. My only recommendation here is that the holes drilled through the shelf back board were a little too small, causing the screws that go into the back of the shelf to bind unnecessarily in the back board making the attachment somewhat more difficult. Running a slightly larger drill through those holes solved that issue. Pleasant surprise was that the feet have adjustability to allow for any leveling that might be required (see pic). Everything was in great shape, all holes aligned perfectly and the assembly went smoothly. Looks great in my living room (see pic). Thank you very much !!
