There are many reasons to love this bag! 1) It’s classy 2) Exterior pockets - a regular-sized water bottle fits in the side pocket and there’s nice space in the front pocket 3) Sturdy, adjustable straps give quality confidence through the many off-on actions throughout the day as I travel. They feel secure. 4) Straps are easily weight adjusted with load increases 5) Internal pockets are secure. If I had designed it, I’d have added more interior pockets and with closures, and a horizontal exterior strap to slip it over a wheeled carryon suitcase. But this is a quality bag for the price. I wanted a backpack for bringing my laptop to and from work, with room for lunch, gym clothes and shoes, and whatever else I needed. I have a fancier laptop bag for when I go on client calls, but this is for daily use. This bag is truly a grown-ups backpack. THE OUTSIDE: The level of styling and quality of details is perfect. It was nearly impossible to choose from the wide selection of colors they offer but I opted for lavender, a lovely smoky pastel purple; gold-toned faux suede plus gold zippers, snaps and grommets elevate the whole look. The design was clearly done by someone who understands how this needs to function for an adult. Simple things like two large pockets for holding any size water bottle or thermal tumbler make it obvious someone really thought this through. The double shopping bag-style handles make it easy to move the bag without using the shoulder straps (and I love that there's a matching snap to keep them lashed together); the backpack straps themselves are padded but don't expect a hiking pack level of padding. The top opening is rigid and fixed like a doctors bag, which adds to the styling and also protects the integrity of the zippers; they also keep the bag wide open. Other reviews have mentioned this, but you can see from my photos that this bag remains upright on it's own, no matter what is inside of it. THE INSIDE: Even though I bought this bag for day use, I have also used it as a weekender bag and it's perfect: plenty of room for a couple changes of clothes and small toiletry bag. The padded inner pocket easily accommodates my macbook air plus my portfolio (which is about twice the thickness of the laptop) and there are a ton of inner pockets to keep you organized. There is also a little pocket and built-in cord for a power bank so that you can plug your phone into your bag from the outside and let it charge in one of the side pockets. This is genius. The quality and materials that this backpack are made of make it great deal. The green is vibrant and the zippers are tight and are solid metal zippers, not the plastic kind you’d see on a cheap backpack. It’s waterproof so walking short distances in the rain are no problem at all, no wet books or belonging. There are two inside pockets that mirror the outside ones, where one usually puts a water bottle or umbrella, I love using those for my wallet and small cosmetic bag. ... show more

These bags are super cute - I ended up keeping the pale green one and the large black one. On those bags, the zippers are silver and the strap buckles are a hard plastic - not metal. The black and grey was smart looking but the gold hardware with this color combo looked tacky to me. Medium is a great size for a general work backpack. I could fit my iPad and MacBook in the 2 pockets as well as work notebooks, files, pencil cases, makeup case, phone, chargers, etc. in the main compartment and other pockets. I also like that it stands up and opens wide. It’s a perfect daily work bag. I don’t know if it would hold up to airplane travel as someone else has said, but that wasn’t why I bought it. The only con is that I wish the straps were a little wider/more padded and I wish the top handles were a bit more substantial. Good value for the money. The large size, like someone else mentioned, has a slightly lesser quality and the inside only has a laptop sleeve and the other pockets - no tablet sleeve. It is a bit bigger and has silver hardware. Now, it came separately and was packaged horribly - the bag it was in was scuffed and torn and some of the pack was dusty because of it. I work at a university, and I purchased this bag a few months ago, as I wanted something that organized and fit everything I bring to campus each day. I am so happy with this bag after using it for nearly four months! It still looks great, has held up and I get so many compliments on it. (I have the grey one.) It's not super big, but everything "fits" in it and everything has a place. I usually take my laptop, some folders, a textbook, a pencil case, small make-up bag, wallet, water bottle, snacks and misc. small notepads. The laptop sleeve is great. The bag doesn't "stand" on its own but that's not much of an issue. I love how the top opens up and stays open. Bags with pockets sometimes don't work for me, but this one has just right amount of pockets in the right places and the perfect sizes. I'm super pleased with this purchase and I think it's a great bag for teachers, professors, students, young professionals. Also, it's a more sophisticated-looking backpack for work; not childish.
