This bedframe is larger than the mattress it is supposed to fit. The 4 slats cannot support a mattress. The second picture shows an IKEA bedframe with the type of slats that they use, all supported by a very strong central metal beam. Every company that sells mattresses says that slats should no more than 3 inches apart. To strengthen the bedframe I purchased plywood and cut it to size, as seen in the third picture. I cut the plywood in four pieces so it would rest on the four slats. As you can see in the fourth picture, the mattress does not extend to the edge. Which is why I had to paint the edges of the plywood because it is visible. The parts are not clearly marked and so I put them together incorrectly and had to take it apart and redo it. Found the same at M..... for $300 more and decided to search and found it here on Amazon for so much less and no shipping fees or handling fees. Very nice color and construction. Easy to clean with a swifter.

This bed frame is terrible. It is pretty and looks just as pictured . The quality is low the support beams are weak and wooden. The slates are thin. It said platform frame. But I soon realized the slates were too spaced out to support a mattress without a box. So I used my box spring and mattress, for less than a month. The legs on the middle wooden support bent and broke. So I took all the slates off and used my old metal frame. So there was pretty padded rails and now flimsy head board. Till a few months later a bolt on the rail wouldn’t fasten. So I tossed the whole thing. Worst amazon purchase ever.. do not buy this get a head board instead cause that’s all this was good for. even then it was a little lower than I thought it would be. ... show more

Love the headboard. The construction and materials are shoddy at best. I had it for just two weeks and the flimsy wood slats three of the four broke two in half and the third about halfway. This product is a scam. There is not bed frame. It is only a headboard. It is state specifically that it has all of that included but I only received a headboard
