Definitely a excellent purchase. Wore these to a rennasaince festival and got loads of compliments! Was worried the size might be an issue, as a few reviews mention these may not fit most women. However, as a busty N cup, they easily stayed in place and were Hella comfortable to boot! The teen kid loves these, they give the barbarian look and then some. Very quality made for the price, definitely will do well for any renfest type situation. I ordered 3 pieces from the same manufacturer, but only two came in so far ... both high quality, but still waiting on the last piece. I really like the authentic leather look to this armor piece, it almost looks real. The one problem I have with these dual pauldrons is that they are kinda big on me but that's probably because I am still trying to bulk up and right now, I'm pretty skinny.

The faux leather doesn't look much like leather in person. The plastic wants to hold the shape it had while shipping - so it sits weird on you. If I use it again I'll try heating it with a hair dryer while I have it on.

These things look great and add some great aesthetic to any medieval costumes! But... I was nursing some significant bruises and chafing on my neck for nearly a week after wearing them for just a few hours, even with some padding between my neck and the leather. Also, I wasn't able to put them on by myself since the buckles for the straps connected in my armpits for me, with nearly 2 feet of excess strap hanging off my back. It should also be mentioned since I didn't learn this until much later, but you'll need to properly shape these as they come as flat pieces. Just google how to shape leather, and you should be good. It'd be nice if it came with some kind of instructions for how to shape them to your shoulders, but it doesn't really take anything away from the product if it doesn't since that's apparently meant to be common knowledge when you buy leather anything. (As this was some of the first leather I've ever purchased, that's my reason for not knowing. lol) Anywho, so it looks great, but is difficult to wear and you will likely struggle to put it on by yourself. ... show more
