It worked great as a prop for Halloween. Like others said trigger is non functional but thay didnt matter to me. Looks great painted!! I used the rust-oleum 2x flat black & esspresso brown and the hammered finish silver for the distressing Looks amazing!

CHEAP, disappointing, ugly not worth the cheap plastic used to manufacture this “toy!” Granddaughter tried to play with this out of the box and 2 pieces fell off. Had to superglue it back on, now for sure it’s on and won’t fall off! Pretty sad that my superglue job is better than off the manufacturing line! Didn’t expect one that was made out of metal but didn’t expect one that was this cheap! Talk about false advertising! The way this gun is displayed and shown on the ad is so misleading is pathetic! These are the types of companies that should be sued for false and misleading advertising. My granddaughter wanted something for her Halloween costume so I ordered it against my better judgement. I don’t like kids playing with toy guns because I don’t think it gives them a healthy respect for weapons. They grow up thinking that weapons are toys and they can’t hurt anyone, anything, even themselves and feeling invincible. I’m retired military, have weapons, a very health respect for then and will never give up my weapons, ammo or right to have/buy them. But I don’t like toy weapons especially ones like these when they are used to cheat those who buy them expecting something totally different. My son had a Star Wars themed party so I bought this to complete my costume. Spray painted it black. Very light weight. Let the kids play with it, too and it was dropped multiple times, but no breakage. Happy with purchase.

The item in question is a great replica for Leia's ANH blaster. Its a great price and can be primed, spray painted, and weathered to be crazy accurate considering the price. You can find several Youtube videos doing as much and turned out to be a great way to cosplay. I even bought another to adapt it to the ROTJ blaster with 3D printed parts. However, when I received the item it came in pretty poor condition. There was sticky residue in areas and a part was chipped off. It didn't matter to me cause I sanded and spray painted it all, but be aware it might not come brand-new condition. ... show more
