We recently purchased the Higher Dose Blanket after hearing about the benefits of Infrared for the last few years. I am typically skeptical of things like this but after battling joint pain for the last few years I decided was willing to give it a shot. And I could not be happier! It arrived rather quickly and with great tips and suggestions. It folds up and stores very easily as well. These things are great, but the other benefits are even better! My husband and I both workout quite a bit and I can honestly say, we both agree, that using the blanket after a workout has definitely sped up muscle recovery. I have also been battling arthritis pain in my knees and hips and whenever I am in the blanket, I get so much relief. I used to lay under electric blankets all the time but that never helped very much. On top of all this, it is so relaxing. The minute I get under it, I feel like I could fall asleep right away. I purchased a HigherDose blanket a few years ago… their original model I think. And it still works good. I decided to upgrade to the newer model. The older model has the front access with adjustable Velcro. The new one has the side zipper. I’m 5 11 and 220. The newer one feels a little more snug. Just takes getting used to it. The blanket heats up quickly and the controller functions good. Lining the bottom with a towel makes it a lot more comfortable on your skin. I spend an hour in it and I usually start sweating after 15 to 20 minutes. Some people might think you’re going to loose weight… Maybe... But the other benefits are good. I used this sauna for almost 2 years , 2-3 times a week, till one day I heard a noice from the box in the picture and smoke come out of it ,I got so scared. I try to get in touch with Amazon to complain about it , but they say the item is not eligible for return. What about my safety?

I used to spend so much money on monthly memberships to use an infrared sauna and have been able to save $$$ because of this! I used to sit in the infrared sauna at 150 degrees for nearly an hour. The sauna blanket has a setting from 1-8. I am able to do settings 5-6 and can to stay in for about 45 minutes and sweat just the same! I’ve had the blanket for about 3 months now and it’s working great! Worth the money! ... show more

The blanket is not user friendly. There is no opening on either side and you need to squeeze yourself in and out of it. What a nuisance! I got rid of it.

    • Amazing at home heat therapy
I know this is expensive, but if you think you're going to use it even semi regularly, it's worth it. I used to go to a 'sweat lodge' that uses these blankets that costs $60 per session. Obviously theirs are more commercial, but I'd argue the sweat is exactly the same. We've used it more than ten times, which means we've already more than saved our money for the exact same thing. I do recommend getting plastic liners to line the inside. Not only does it help you sweat, but it provides the easiest clean up ever.     • Absolutely love my sauna blanket
I got this blanket as a gift from my husband when my daughter was born.It was the best gift a Mom of a toddler and baby can get to feel the full joy of relaxation after a long day of making big and little people happy. I use this blanket 3 times per week. Usually I try to create “a spa atmosphere” put on my favorite face and/or hair mask too for 15 - 30 minutes. I prefer to wear socks and soft clothes that cover my body so I can feel the heat slowly. It is easy to control the temperature. I would recommend to follow instructions (if you don't read instructions ask someone to do it for you) and at first start with low temperature (level 5-6) and then increase it in a gradual manner. It feels very cozy and relaxing if you keep the temperature stable vs jumping from one level to another. I also found that this sauna blanket is great to use after long distance biking/running - it has a workout recovery effect (I keep my sessions short here - 15-20 minutes). I keep the blanket in the closet, so I can easily reach it anytime. I absolutely love my SAUNA blanket - it is my new favorite place to rest and relax after a long day before bedtime. For me it has full body rejuvenation effect, and when I am laying in it I am just happy to be there. ... show more

Delivery was super fast and set up could not be easier. I worked my way up to 7 after a few sessions and now use it everyday (sometimes 2x a day). I will say that after consistent use, my body feels less achy and my energy levels have really improved. The blanket itself is really easy to just fold up after it cools and slide right under my bed. My husband jokingly calls me "hot pocket wife" after he saw me using it for the first time, but now he uses it too! Great investment and would definitely recommend it. ... show more
