I love this cooker that I bought recently and wish I had bought it sooner. It is great to do my canning on the porch instead of on my electric stove and it keeps the heat outside. It heats quickly and you can adjust the gas and air mix so that you have a nice blue flame. Only thing that can be a little difficult is to keep the pressure cooker at a consistent temperature if it is windy outside. As the wind plays with your flame but for vegetables it is not a problem. Canning meat that cooks for an hour would take more monitoring if it is windy. In love with this cooker. ... show more

Works well with decent flame and air control. However, not sure this is actually cast iron. Seems like spray painted metal and from the look of the bottom of my pot after using it once, it's not even heat resistant paint. The legs do bolt on and are not welded to the burner top, however it seems sturdy enough. The wind gaurd around the burner (oe of the reasons I selected this item) is not sufficient to block even a slight breeze. ... show more
