We got this for our daughter who is moving up to a larger bed size. The instructions are not entirely clear, but they're good enough. The tools that you will need are included, but I would highly recommend using your own screw driver to make life easier. The included allen wrench is fine to use. I'm fairly savvy with this stuff, but there are a few steps it would have been extra helpful to have someone else just hold something in place. Some of the screws will require extra force that you can only get with a screw driver. The allen wrench will leave your hands feeling sore by the end of it. Expect to be building for an hour+ if you have adequate space to move around. The bed itself is fine. I'm not particularly impressed with anything. The boards that go across the frame, that support the mattress are locked into position, which is nice! Anyone that has had the old-school beds with the loose boards will know why this is cool. The LED light is pretty well tucked away, but eventually the adhesive will fail or your child will get curious, prepare to buy some double sided tape. All in all 4/5, there's a few quirks it would need to overcome to hit that 5 star rating. I should also mention, this package is HEAVY. There is nothing to hold onto, it's awkward and bulky. Save your back and ask for help getting this inside or up stairs. ... show more

We have had this bed for two months, I loved it at first it was so nice and luxurious. Two nights ago we were laying in bed and woke up caved in. The two middle bars in the middle snapped, we can’t move them back because the bolts are bent now due to it snapping. very upset i suggest not wasting your money on this item. ... show more
