  • You must own this super versatile, reliable, tested and true piece of equipment PERIOD.
Style: Cast and Steel Jack
A must for anyone who goes off road and so much more. Extremely versatile. Often copied by other brands. You can jack up so many odd things and do so much with these things. You can jack up lifted vehicles to change a tire or get out of a hole. Change tires or manage repairs in the field on farm equipment. If you get stuck, You can winch out with these things. All you need is some chain or strap and shackle. Use it as a huge clamp or a spreader. Emergency services uses these things now. You simply have to have one of these if you ever change a tire in the field or even pavement if you have a lift or tall vehicle. Simple design. Can be easily mounted and dissembled. Hours of you-tube videos on this classic and all its uses. A friend of mine from the Army teaches foreign forces how to use these things. Before you get a winch, buy one of these. No need for a battery of a bumper mount. These things can be dangerous if you don't be careful, however, they are so darn useful. The 48' is plenty big and super versatile. Especially for clearing tree's from a road or trail. Lifting and moving heavy materials. Hi Lift is MADE IN AMERICA and the aftermarket accessories are limitless. The cost is really a great value. ... show more

  • Works great for my RAM2500 2018
Style: Cast and Steel Jack
It is great jack not only for wrangler. It is work great for heavy duty truck. I have RAM2500 with Cummins. So, the front can be lifted by using tow hooks. And it is hold very steady. And back, tow hitch receiver is perfect place to lift. No more crawling under the truck. The only one really small disadvantage jack is big. But little bit more creativity and place was found. ... show more

  • Works Well, But Stock Jeep Needs LIft Mate Accessory but Narrow Base Needs Road Base
Style: Cast and Steel Jack
I purchased the Hi-Lift for self-rescue when off-roading in my Jeep JKU. I initially had the 42" version but with the addition of the L100 Lift Mate and its long straps and hook to attached directly to the tire, I found the 42" version would not lift the tire much above the ground so we exchanged the 42 for the 48" version. Read on for our impressions. -- WRAPPED DELIVERY: The Hi-Lift came bagged in a big silver wrap and was not boxed. That didn't seem like much protection but the lift came complete with no missing or broken parts and included instructions. -- EASY TO LIFT ONE CORNER OF JEEP: It operated correctly and was exactly as described. It was very easy to lift one corner of the Jeep JKU. -- CAREFULLY ID LIFT POINTS: FYI if you drive a Jeep Wrangler.........After inspecting my Jeep Wrangler JKU, I did discover there are NO reachable lift points with the 4.5" beak of the Hi-LIft. The stock front bumper is only vinyl and will not hold weight and will be damaged. There are no reachable lift points on the sides except for the stock side step which are not strong enough to hold without bending or breaking. Lift points on the rear stock bumper could only be reached under the tow hook. All other points on the stock Jeep will be damaged if attempting to lift there. The Hi-Lift jack lift surface is only 4.5" long, so it requires steel after-market bumpers. -- NEEDS LIFT MATE WITH STOCK JEEP: In order to use the HI-Lift with a stock Jeep, the accessory LM-100 Lift-Mate is required, which provides hooks to attach to the wheel to lift the wheel directly. We were concerned that the portion of the jack head that is against the tire might pop the bead of the tire and we saw the tire deflect quite a bit but it did not. Still before using we would probably over-inflate the tire to reduce the risk of popping the bead. -- HEAVY: Its very heavy at about 30lbs so if mounted on the rear gate, reinforced hinges should be used. -- FITS ON FLOOR OF JEEP: Even at 48" long it will fit in the back of the Jeep across the floor which is how I carry it. -- HAS HANDLE GRIPPER: It comes with an attached spring to hold the lift tube in place when storing. -- SMALL BASE: The base is too small an surface area to even allow the jack to stand up confidently on its own. The small base will sink into the ground when lifting so an extra base is needed to provide a good solid surface to push against. A road base is essential to use this jack to raise a vehicle safely. Hi-Lift has an accessory, a Road Base, that is about 12" square but I made one from wood scraps I have around the shop and it works great.. ... show more

  • Does it all
Style: Cast and Steel Jack
Love this jack. Super capable and powerful. Use it to lift and level a 10’x20’ stick built shed. Follow directions and LUBE. Safe up and safe down. Great design and incredible price. Would like to see HiLift offer the top 90o claw as an accessory sold separately if no longer included with this particular jack. ... show more

  • One of the basics for off-roading with lifted trucks
Style: Cast and Steel Jack
Have used this jack 2 times during two trips and works as intended, the only down side is that if you keep this jack mounted outside you truck at all times it will rust out a little bit. Wish the coating would have been better, giving 4 starts because of that.

  • longevity
Style: Cast and Steel Jack
I was in the market for another Hi Lift Jack for another vehicle , I read a bunch of reviews for different brands and most people complained about rust . So after taking a good look at this brand that's been mounted on my Crawler for about 5 years I noticed there was virtually no rust at all . I used it to pull out some T-posts when I first got it and that was all . I bought another one today for my project truck ... show more

  • Great quality but do NOT buy this for mechanical work, especially for anything other than Jeep.
Style: Cast and Steel Jack
I give this 5 stars because I know it os made for Jeeps. However, I bought the wheel straps to use it with my Explorer and man... it is very sketchy even on flat ground with the base to set it in. The entire device will start to lean towards the vehicle the higher you lift it. It got to a point where I thought it might shoot off like a loaded spring so I put jack stands under the Explorer and let it down. Unfortunately it did not get it much higher than my cheap floor jack gets it (before it gets dangerous). It's definitely not really a mechanics tool no matter how many attachments you buy. You're better off stacking blocks and using a floor jack. But like I said, its made for Jeeps and trails, not regular mechanic work ... show more
