I am bumping up to 60 this year and wanted to have something to enjoy my weekends and I'm too lazy to do a regular mountain bike. Tried recumbent trike and that didn't cut it. I saw the review on the Tyson on YouTube from CES and thought it was right up my alley. Plenty of power and we ride without range anxiety since we've yet to get anywhere close to exhausting the battery. We don't do speed demon stuff, more the laid back enjoy the surrounding kind of couple. We did compare to other bikes, but they were either too expensive or cut too many corners or lacked suspension (yes it's a mandatory 'option') I enjoy being able to set the different speeds to just what we enjoy (I've set both bikes to the same speed for each pedal assist) and right now the fastest we have is 15mph on level 5 (3,6,9,12,15) and that works great. Level 1 for walking or loading the bike, we stay mostly in 2-3 and 4-5 when we are hungry. My wife purchased the Ranger S and that's actually a better bike in my opinion and she loves it (did replace the seat too). Is it a ding if you prefer another bike with the same company? The three dings I'd give the bike: The folding is stiff, clunky and awkward and most people will need to consider using it only as a last resort or maybe winter storage - but not for everyday. The seat sucks - stiff, hard and puts pressure in all the wrong places. We replaced ours for a more comfortable seat and now that issue is mute. The lighting switch should be rethought. The auto button should be remapped to like a cruise control (it's on the throttle. It's unneeded and could be better utilized. Overall, best purchase this year. Add to our SENA headsets so that we can chat and the Black Widow bike rack - we're having a blast! ... show more
