  • Buy this- stop wasting time
Color: Silver Size: 16in x 2.25mm (neck size up to 13in)
I ordered Three other prong collars before this one and I wish I hadn’t wasted all that time! I was Trying to be cheap and ordered other options but all of them were too sharp and cheap. This collar, although a bit more expensive compared to a lot on Amazon, is 100% safe, effective, and worth it!!! The prongs are rounded which is safe to use because it creates that correction without cutting into skin. The idea of a prong collar is to mimic a correction that a mother gives to her baby on the neck. This collar is excellent quality and well worth it. We work a professional trainer who uses prong collars so we ordered this one to have another set for our dog. We have two Dobermans who have made significant improvement in just two weeks by correctly using a prong collar with a certified trainer. Excellent choice and all SMART dog owners know the purpose and effectiveness of a safe prong collar. I ordered a size small and because my dogs have short fur so long prongs are not needed. I purchased Extra prongs to fit my dogs neck. Photo shows measuring tape for size comparison. ... show more

  • My 165lb Malamute loves her PEARLS!
Color: Silver Size: 25in (63cm) x 4mm
I purchased this set of "Pearls" because the one we got from Petco 5 yrs ago broke. The weak feature from the Petco collar was the quick release mechanism. It broke & my girl could get it to release and the collar would fall to the floor.. So when I researched for purchasing her new set of Pearls, I knew I didn't want that quick release mechanism. This collar does not have that mechanism. I purchased the large for my 165lb Malamute. I did need to add 4 links but I just used the links from her broken set of pearls, instead of purchasing extra links. It is secure. That saved money, not having to order extra links. If it was not secure, I would have absolutely ordered more links and paid the extra money to ensure my girl has a strong set of pearls. These pearls don't hurt her, help her to not pull when walked, and are secure! I also ordered these on Easter and they arrived that day! That was huge for us because hubby walks her everyday! Very satisified with purchase! ... show more

  • great collar
Color: Silver Size: 22in x 3.0mm (neck size up to 18in)
i tried so many other ways to control my dog on leash with a quick tutorial and 15 min with this collar she was heeling by my side. recommend getting an aftermarket buckle, kind of hard to take on and off but other than that a great product and very well made

  • When used appropriately, it works.
Color: Silver Size: 23in (58cm) x 3.2mm
For the longest time I was against these collars. But, after the amount of issues we've had with one of our dogs, we had to try something different. I began to research them and came upon a specific trainer who recommended this brand and started learning his techniques. One thing he stresses is that prong collars are NOT NEEDED for every dog. He made it known they're only for those dogs that simply will not or can not, respond to other methods. Day 1 of using the collar was like night and day. You MUST do your research, though, on how to use properly! These are training tools, NOT punishment devices. While they are uncomfortable when cinched, they do not "hurt" by any means. I tried it on my own neck and arms, and its fine. I would liken it to the uncomfortable feeling when leaning over a ledge, and the corner is digging into your chest or belly. When used for quick corrective reinforcement, it really does work. It is not a magical cure all, and is not meant to be cinched for longer than 1 second max. A quick taught tug on the leash, then immediately lax. It's meant to grab their attention and focus it on you. The collar is not what trains them, it simply redirects their attention to you, so you can continue to train them. My pup has no fear of the collar, and we've actually reached the point of graduation to a martingale collar. These are not meant to be permanent. The build quality is extremely good, the tensile strength of the links is great, they won't be warping and losing their ability to stay connected. Yet they're also pliable enough to quickly disconnect and connect without struggle. I'd recommend getting a little longer than you think you'll need, and adjusting by removing links, as you definitely don't want one that's too small. You can always remove links on a longer one, if it's too short you'll have to go through the hassle of a return/exchange. Overall, when use PROPERLY, it is an extremely effective tool for training SOME dogs. ... show more

  • Good enough but not the best
Color: Silver Size: 16in x 2.25mm (neck size up to 13in)
The metal is kind of cheap but it's still sturdy. The prongs are sharper than the should be. I still use it but it's not the real thing. I have a real one for my other dog that's high quality and doesn't actually hurt the dog. We use it with a harness because wouldn't want the dog to pull on this too hard. But today with these they are not for punishment so please learn how to train your dog with this type and it will work great. ... show more

  • Great dog collar for walks
Color: Silver Size: 22in x 3.0mm (neck size up to 18in)
We have 2 large Aussiedoodle pups that were a nighmare to walk. They would pull us making the walks a nightmare. I was never a fan of the prong collars but these are not sharp, are easy to install and made a world of difference with the dogs. Now they don't pull, walk beside us and we take them out more often. We only use these on walks. I am now a prong collar fan! ... show more

  • It works fantastically for my dogs!
Color: Chrome Size: 2.25 mm x 13" Neck Size; 16" Chain Length
The quality and look of these are superior to any similar collars I have seen at local big box pet stores. On my arm, the prong design created to discomfort at all when activated, tugged or snapped into action. The real deal sealer came in our first walk after a small acclimation period with their new equipment. I did an entire neighborhood walk with my two five year old mini Golden Doodles with no tugging or errant jumps towards other dogs or people. They were both heeled at my side for the whole walk. I have been working with them for a long time in heeling, but never have I had Caroline’s success during a full walk. I had no tension in the lead at all, just an occasional twitch transmitted to the collar and both were in lockstep next to me. It’s a tool that is a must have for training a dog to have stress free walks in public. Use it for what it’s intended and it is a wonderful device. I use it with a Mizetto link chain from the lead to either their harnesses or collars just as added security. ... show more
