I got this for a friend who really wants to be a DJ and he loves it. He’s using it to teach himself how to DJ and he’s excited about how easy it is to use, it’s small enough and portable. I would suggest that you also invest in a carrying case (there’s one that popped up when I purchased the machine and it works perfect. Apparently the quality is great for a beginner. I bought one to learn for my frat. It is perfect. I’m a beginner but it is very self explanatory. It works great with my MacBook. The size is tinyer than I thought but perfect. It won’t slip off the table. Very fun.

9 year DJ here. Wanted something cheap I could chuck in a backpack and take to parties or across the country in a carryon and wow is this thing legit. Annoyed that it’s the older usb standard (get an adapter!) and the fact that the cable is HARD WIRED INTO THE UNIT?? But for functionality, this little guy is killer. Using serato’s midi remapping function, I now have all of the controls I use on my Pioneer DJ sr1 & 2 accessible on this thing and it’s a blast to use. Jog wheels are a little inconsistent when it comes to detecting your touch, but for how cheap and convenient this is, it’s a small price to pay. I’d give it 5 stars but seriously why would you hardwire the cable into the unit. ... show more

First off. I plugged it into my laptop and downloaded the software and the drivers for it to work… no big deal. Then I found out you CANT use iTunes (even music you bought or “acquired from the internet mp3.com) you have to get a serato pro subscription ($10/m) and then a music subscription through the application ($10-$25/m) to properly use this…. I got the trials, once I loaded up the songs and hooked up my speakers and headphones….. no sound, I even watched a video and did everything correct and still no sound. Swapped computers and still….. no sound. So I contacted the warranty department and HUGE HUGE runaround!! Absolutely NOT worth it. So don’t purchase this if you think you won’t be paying for atleast 1 subscription because you will. I bought a pioneer setup and I can use my music on my laptop and my iTunes music no problem. This board was defective from the get-go so don’t think I’m justifying that. If your gonna DJ get a Roland or pioneer, you get what you pay for ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The controller is good however whenever I click to change the track you can hear the buttons, it is clearly made out of plastic and you can hear it aswell. I rate this a 3/5 star for its features but it does not have the roll feature. Learning on this is super easy but is only for beginners and will only prepare you a little bit for the major controllers you will be using. ... show more
