These are small, quiet, and unobtrusive. They do a good job and the filters can be found at a good price from several vendors. In my home, depending on the location, the filter lasts a month or two. It will beep if you don't see the filter light blinking so that is good for me because I lose track of time and don't always remember which one I changed when. Changing the filter is also simple, twist off the cap on the bottom, drop the old one in the trash, put the new one into the bottom, and twist the cap closed. This is a powerful little machine that really clears the air. The high setting is kind of loud, but I use the medium setting and it works great and even removes the dog smell from the living room. I bought one for each of the bedrooms too.

    • Small but mighty!
I foster cats and kittens in a family room on the lower level of our home. I’ve had as many as 12 kitties there. Even clearing out the litter boxes three times a day, sweeping daily, and deep cleaning weekly, some odor was drifting out of the screened in room. I bought this little air cleaner hoping it might help. I placed it on a table near the screened door, completed the very minimal set-up, and turned it on. We have had zero odor since the initiation of use. When I do the weekly deep cleaning of the room, I take out the filter and use a stiff bristle brush to clean the gills. I was amazed at what this little dynamo pulls in. I did purchase an extra filter. At the 6 month point, I will throw away the original filter and replace it with a new one. Will repeat this with a new filter every 6 months. This is a great little machine. I have 3 people whose odor detection I trust: my mom, my daughter-in-law, and my cleaning person. We have an evaporation cooler so the outside air is pumped right into our house. We were all suffering with the air quality in our home. We gave this a try and started breathing better right away. The filters are a little pricey but it is worth it. It works great in an office or bedroom. The noise level is minimal. I appreciate the dark mode so you don't have a big night light when you don't want one. I am very happy with my purchase. My only regret is not buying one a little bigger to serve a larger space in my house. Would buy again! ... show more

Update- 4 months later there’s a knocking sound when this starts. I was able to exchange this at no cost, so thank you to the company. Original review- Although I liked the smaller footprint and weight of this, I was concerned at first by the dusty smell, when I first got this. The company said to keep using it and the dustiness will disappear. But after a few days, the air was still dusty coming from this. So I ran it in the bathroom on the highest setting for several hours, and it was finally gone! I have 2 smaller purifies that are good, but this is far more powerful, it removes cigarette smoke from the neighbors in minutes. The option to shut off the blue light at night is genius; doctors have recently discovered that light at night, especially blue colored lights, causes major sleep disturbances and affects your immune system and overall health. It definitely does it's job of cleaning the air when I'm smoking in my home office but I keep it on all day. The stand it was on got tipped over and the dang thing busted apart. It was easy to put back together, but a plastic piece inside the main part broke off and was rattling around. It took a little shaking and rolling it around to fall out. It still works as it did before. It's not noisy. It's easy to turn on and figure out. I would buy another one. I set a bottle of paint next to it for size reference. ... show more
