I used these for a trip to the local tubing hill and just wore my everyday uninsulated Salomon Speedcross shoes. Boy was I impressed how well my feet stayed warm while standing in the snow for about 2 hours. I had one sock turned on high heat with one sock off. There was a noticeable difference in comfort. After two hours my toes in the sock that was off felt cold and starting to feel numb but the heated sock was a dream. The socks are thick but still fit within my normal shoes. The heat pad goes under the ball/toe of your foot and the seam is a little noticeable where it starts and ends. This takes a little getting use to but the warmth makes that concern go right away. With 2 hours of use in high the batteries were still at 50 percent power. One thing I had originally not considered was the extra thickness from the battery. My jeans were able to go over the sock/battery pack. The battery is thinner than the style used in the heated gloves. The app is ideal for control. You can control by pressing the button on the battery pocket but unless your lift your pant leg up it’s covered up and hard to see what setting it’s on, so the app gives perfect control and convenience here. Another aspect I had not considered was whether these would be washable. They can be machine washed on a delicate cycle recommended in a fabric bag. Conveniently they include one with your socks, otherwise you can handwash them. I did see the socks cuff stretch out a bit and started to slip down toward the end of the day. This could have been from my jeans rubbing a bit. I would assume after a wash they will shrink back to normal. Overall I am very pleased with how well these keep your feet warm, are comfortable, and feel like a nice quality sock that will not wear through after a couple uses. This is my first pair of electrically heated socks, and I'm not sure I'll be able to go back to regular socks. They're pretty comfortable (there is a seam under the feet, which I got used to pretty quickly) and snug. Add in the controllable heat, and it's hard to take these things off. The app is also pretty cool. It lets you control the temperature of each sock (individually or together) and it looks like it can also pair up with other wearable, battery-warming heated clothes as well. ... show more

Sent back a few pairs now. The last pair sent back was 169.00...ouch. Over all this one seems to be real good. The correct sock length for 8" hunting boots. Feel the heat immediately no placebos effect. Can not state how long they will last at this point but look to be above average quality control. Overall design id very good. ... show more

I bought these socks for an upcoming trip to Iceland. My toes are always cold and I thought it would be a good idea to get some heated socks. I also live way up north in NY so winters can be freezing. I have them on now and they seem to work fine. The app is also easy to use. I will be walking around Montreal next weekend and will try them out there to see how much they will work. I bought the large size and the socks end right below my knees. This will add an extra layer for my legs so I'm happy about that. The only complaints I have so far is that the batteries for socks are too big. I thought they would be flatter but they are bulky to me. The heating coil also feels like it is slightly burning my big toenail. But it could just be how the sock was out on. The band where the sock stops also feels too tight. I will update my review after my trip. ... show more

When I put them on, they were too hot to wear, even on the lowest setting. But on the lowest setting they made great footwarmers that I put at the end of my bed. This worked great for about a month, until they overheated and burned last night. The last five inches of the socks are now burned, crumpled and crunchy. I’m just glad I woke up before they set anything on fire. Please don’t use them for anything other than socks. I’d recommend only charging the batteries when you are at home. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just found that this pair of socks is making me feel warm and fuzzy! I am currently testing the site at home however, plant to use it in a few weeks while out on a ski trip. It’s really nice and I find the polyester very comfortable. There’s controls on the outside of the battery pack and also also that there is an app that can be used to adjust the temperature and set it via a specific time duration! What’s truly fantastic benefit is that if you also buy their vest, you can control it too, by the same app as well! Ready to go out for a run and walk in +10F degrees weather. What a find these socks are. I felt toasty, warmed up quickly and lasted for the hour and a half of my walk. In the end I had to turn them off because I was getting a bit too hot with all the running. I wore them again yesterday to go for a walk and I didn't have to turn them on because they are double-lined and thick. Even if the heater system failed, I consider the warmest socks in my closet. Another pro is that they come with a wash-bag for when you wash them on the delicate cycle (without the battery in!). They feel warm and very well made, top notch and they almost get up to my knees. I am a size 9 in Women Asics (39 in EU shoe size) and these socks' Small size fits very well. ... show more
