  • Comfortable and stable EDITED
Color: bronze
EDIT: Having used this cane for a while, I'm replacing it with one that 1) folds into smaller sections, so it's easier to put under my chair when I need to, and 2) has cords between the pieces, so it's easier to store and put back together. This one just comes apart into two separate pieces, so it's much less convenient. But it's fine if you don't care about those two things. Original review: This is my first cane, so I don't have anything to compare this one to - but it works for my purposes. The handle is reasonably cushioned and comfortable, and the rubber end works great on every surface I've tried - tile, concrete, carpet, grass, hospital floors.... I don't need the quad tip, since my balance is reasonably good so far, so the bendy rubber end works just fine for me. It's also very quiet, unless I really apply some pressure as I thump it down. I appreciate that it folds up for storage, although the "locking mechanism" feels kind of flimsy. It's also easy to adjust, height-wise, and short enough for me at 5'4". Overall, pretty happy with this walking cane, and plan to keep it nearby for quite some time. ... show more

  • Quality product at a budget price
Color: bronze
Having an older family member who recently needed replacement surgery after breaking their hip, we've been trying a lot of canes. The process of walking with a cane is new to her and she's learning and thought this one might make her feel more stable due to the pivoting base and padded handle that puts the center of gravity more directly over the length of the cane. I'm not sure the articulation at the bottom has added all that much but she definitely likes the padded handle and a better sense of balance as a result of its design. Unlike some of the other canes, this one breaks down into only two pieces - not three so if you're looking to stow it, that is something to be mindful of but it feels incredibly solid and secure assembled which is more than I can say for a lot of the others we've looked at. In fact, the height adjustment part is so firm, it took effort on my part to move it. I don't know if we got a tighter than normal unit or not but it's something to be mindful of if you're a little older, looking for this product yourself and might need assistance adjusting it. Unlike the packaging of some of the others, this one comes in a bag that looks like the kind of thing shipped to a hospital or medical facility in bulk. It doesn't seem at all like retail packaging. That's not a big deal as I can't imagine something like this needing nice packaging for gifting or anything but it's worth noting. if the packaging helped get them to the $15 pricing, I'd say it's a very worthy tradeoff for a sturdy product that's $5-$10 cheaper than more flimsy and less useful canes available on here. Since getting it, this has been her go-to so I'd consider it a winner and at the price it's currently at, I'd consider it a no-brainer if you're in the market for a functional, comfortable cane for mobility. ... show more

  • Lightweight folding cane
Color: purple
This cane is very lightweight. I got It folds roughly in half and snaps back together easily. At around 18 inches folded it would fit in a big tote bag and possibly a backpack, but it would not fit in a purse. The nature of my health issue means that I don't always need a cane so I like having the option to bring a cane along in case I end up needing it as the day goes along. It is easily extendible and adjusts to 5 - 6 feet tall. The tip is flexible and pivots and has a grip on the bottom, it seems a little more all-terrain than most cane tips. I'm not sold on the stability of the pivoting though, and may add my quad tip to the end for more balance. The cane has a soft grip handle, and is supportive and sturdy for it's light construction. I'm satisfied with it. ... show more

  • Help keeping my balance
Color: -Black
I am recovering from a bunion surgery and as someone who values my independence and mobility, this cane has allowed me to move around with confidence and ease. Its sturdy design and anti-slip base give me stability and the cushion handle is a nice touch. Plus, the folding feature make it easy to carry everywhere. I am hoping on not using this cane for long but for now it is great with keeping me balanced on my feet. ... show more

  • Light, and has a comfortable handle
Color: purple
This is my first time needing a cane so I don't have much to compare this to except my uncle's old wooden cane. This came folded up and was very easy to unfold and snap. It is easily height adjustable. The handle part is padded with like very solid foam. It's comfortable enough to grip. This is a rather lightweight cane, though, and while the cane feels sturdy, I suspect it might bend if you hit cars or smack someone hard enough with it. (so don't do that). Very nice quality and a good price too. ... show more

  • PERFECT HEIGHT CHOICES
Color: purple
My Mum had a bad fall about 1 1/2 years ago and I felt she really should start using a cane. A Walker would be a better option for her, however, I KNOW she would be Horrified. I've suggested she use a cane since and she's refused because she believes it will make her look old. Mum is 80yo, a Young 80, however, unsteady. I even reminded her that people of all ages use them, me and my sister even needed to use them before and after hip surgeries, and we're Not Old. It was still unacceptable to her. So, I decided to get one on my own. I brought it over and she Loves the purple. I had to teach her how to use it properly and her coordination is pretty bad. I asked her to just practice in her home, perhaps she might determine it is useful. I told her it's just another helpful aid for her such as wearing her glasses and recently I have actually convinced her to try hearing aids (another battle) and she's found those to be wonderful. So, as stated, I thought if I just get a cane she might be open to trying it. I think it may spend time in the closet until she is open to the idea. The one thing I would suggest to the manufacturer is it would be great if they supplied a steady end. She found the typical cap impossible to use so I bought a wider cap that easily tilts as she uses it. That helped a great deal. The choice would be very helpful. ... show more
