The good news is, the cover is cat-proof and I no longer have holes in my tubing from our Siamese cat who likes the taste of my CPAP hose. The bad news is, the fabric is very slippery. With my CPAP on the nightstand, my tubing lays across my blanket as I sleep. Formerly, I had sewn a cover out of flannel and it didn't slide off the comforter (but unfortunately, the cat chewed through it).     • Protects valuable equipment from dangerous kitties!

So ask anyone, and they'll tell you I'm a cheapskate - I get it honestly, as I come from a whole family of cheapskates. But this $10 purchase was well worth the money and definitely improves my quality of sleep. The tubing for my CPAP machine is insanely expensive, and my cats are little devils who love to play in the middle of the night with anything that moves sporadically. All the nail trimmers in the world are not gonna keep those little claws from puncturing that tubing, but this little sleeve does the trick. Now I can sleep in peace without waking every time I feel the presence of a cat, worrying that this is the moment those claws will finally puncture through. The sleeve zips on and off very easily, which is important for the weekly cleaning that is required. I haven't experienced any problems with it causing excess humidity and dripping, as some others claimed. My only complaint is that the nylon outer shell of this sleeve makes a rustling noise when it moves against blankets, quilt, sheets, etc. Since the CPAP machine itself is virtually silent (who are all those people complaining about the noise? I have to push the Home button to wake it up just to know if it's actually on!), the rustling noise of the nylon sleeve can be a bit irritating. Other than that, it does exactly what it is supposed to do: protects the hose from sharp little claws and insulates the hose as well, which I'm sure will help with the climate control. If you have furry friends who think your CPAP is a new toy for them, then do not hesitate one second longer: buy this protection! Oh, and yes, I could have gotten one exactly like it from the durable medical equipment provider my insurance company uses, but even with insurance paying their portion, it would have cost me double what I paid to get it from Amazon. ... show more

    • Tube is safe from kitty attacks

I had always been a dog person, but a cat adopted us. It took it only a few days before the cat began to attack my CPAP tubing. I spent a while wrapping it in tape (the tubing - not the kitty). That may have prevented leaks, but it did not keep the cat from attacking the tubing. I was a little bit nervous about trying to find a way to keep the cat from attacking, because I worried that if one day a snake really did show up - I would definitely want my kitty to protect me from the monster. I put the blue wrap on my tubing. It was very easy to put it on. It is soft, and quiet and comfortable to use. And kitty has not attacked it at all since I put the cover on. I can’t promise that the blue-covered tubing has helped to keep the snakes away, but the kitty has not found any snakes in my bedroom since the cover has been on. ... show more

    • Protects against cats!

My cats love to puncture the CPAP tubing with their teeth but have no interest in this. I use it on the Resmed 36810 Slim Line tubing which I believe is a less expensive version of the tubing shown in the picture. The cover is about 2-3" longer than my tubing so I have it scrunched up a bit to have it fit as the picture shows. If you don't want to do this you will have a flap that stays open on one end because the cover will not zip over the rubber ends of the tubing. For a while I used it this way with the flap on the machine end of the tubing and it was not a problem. Once fastened the cover stays in place and does not slide down on tube. The cover adds a bit of weight to the tubing but nothing that has been a problem for me in fact I think it helps keep it where I put it. The surface of the material is very smooth so it slides easily on the bed as I move. The color is just as pictured. It does not cover the small extension tubing attached to the mask. Not a problem for me; cats don't seem to like this part anyway. I find no cons and definitely recommend it. ... show more

I used this on the resmed heated hose for the airsense 10. Firstly, it fits perfectly from end to end. The sleeve is designed to have a velcro closure near your head so that you don't hear or bother with the zipper (a common complaint with the other sleeves reviewed). I have been having issues where the quality of my sleep is lessened by the fact that I am congested. I am congested because my sinuses are irritated by the cpap because the air is too dry. When I tried to raise the humidity levels the condensation in the tube made the much-despised gurgling noises. I haven't tried pushing my luck, but this sleeve let me go (at least) 1 setting higher on humidity which allows me to wake with my sinuses not irritated which means I'm not congested which means I sleep better. The sleeve is not a parka (not sure what some of these people were expecting) but with the heated hose and a room at around 65-67°F it works perfectly. ... show more

    • Makes the tube heavy

This seems to insulate the tubing very well but it makes it heavy. I also find the sound of the fabric sliding against a hard surface slightly annoying especially when it wakes me in the night. It fits well but I didn't like the feel of it.
