Description

Our Mission Statement Take out the classic consoles and get them set up in the simplest way for modern displays that are omitting old cable hookups. This is an affordable & convenient option to get good video quality when it comes to retro gaming. Go back and experience all the things you missed as a kid: the games, the consoles, the controllers. Why RGB? RGB brings the best possible visual experience out of classic Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). So you can see the more defined colors, the clearer graphics and the sharper pictures when using RGB, compared with using AV. The example describes RGB vs typical display methods (S-Video, composite, RF) is looking through a clean glass window vs a dirty one. Manual Adjustment on TV This cable has been specifically calibrated for SNES/SFC. However, final output doesn't only depend on the cable quality but the games you are playing and television quality. Try to adjust the backlight, brightness, dynamic setting or other parameters on TV if you want to improve the display more. Maximum Compatibility with Trending Displays Native resolution from SNES/SFC is upscaled to 720P for best matching with current HDMI standard. MicroUSB Cable Usage Included MicroUSB cable should be plugged to wipe away image issues and power up if you see the image distortion while gaming or feel the abnormal heat from back of console. So it's recommended. Console Compatibility This HDMI cable is only for original SNES (also known as SNS-001) instead of new- style SNES (also known as SNS-101/SNES Jr.) unless it's RGB modded. Length Adapter: 1 ft; HDMI cable: 6 ft; MicroUSB cable: 6 ft.

  • HDMI Cable works great
HDMI Cable works great, picture is great, and for the low cost, you have to love bringing an old SNES game console back to life with a sharp picture

  • Works well
I initially thought it was faulty after my first try because I couldn't get past a no signal screen. The next day I tried it again and it works fine. Not sure what I was doing wrong.

  • A Must for Every Super Nintendo Owner!
To start with, so far as of this writing, this nifty little cable has saved me not only from having to spend an additional $100 for other specialty cables and such. The picture quality has been incredible, and two and a half months in, this cable seems to work very well each time I play a game, and even has the convenient "No Signal" text box scrolling around when not detecting input to keep my TV from having any burned-in images, which is very nice! I also like that I have the option to switch to 4:3, which is where I have it set at, as I don't like having to deal with stretched images very much. Another great aspect of this product is just how easy it is to hook up your own power source, with the cable already provided, only requiring a purchase of a 5 volt USB adapter for stability. The setup is very simple and straightforward, and the best part is that this cable actually works! I just had a Hyperkin 3-in-1 cable not long ago, and was terrible with those annoying checkerboard patterns that I'm not experiencing with this cable. Overall, if you want a quality RGB to HDMI cable without spending a fortune on specialized cables, or expensive mods that are very risky to install, this is what I can happily say is the cable for you! As a bonus to everything I mentioned above, the games actually look better than their virtual console counterparts in the quality department with a more accurate aspect ratio, and comparable quality image. This is perfect for those like me who want to play Lufia II or Chrono Trigger without worrying about either there being no virtual console to get these anymore, and bad quality picture from composite or RF cables. UPDATE: 7/31/2020 The customer support from these guys are amazing, and will go above and beyond to make sure they deliver you a quality product! These cables are the way to go if you want to play SNES games in HD without any hassles!! ... show more

  • Working like a charm for my SNES

  • BE CAREFUL damaged one of my snes.
I own 3 super famicoms, excessive? Maybe not with products like these. I have always played using A/V cables and sure the output over and hdmi tv looks checkered but very playable with very little latency. I purchased this product for an hdmi tv in my master bedroom and at first worked great. The image was very clear and hdmi looked great. Then my console would lose its image or look scrambled and would do this ONLY when I had certain games in and/or loaded on my fx pak pro. Like Kirby Superstar for some reason would just piss off the tv and it would scramble the image. So I swapped out that console for a different one that I had hooked up to a crt tv in my office/gaming room. The image stopped scrambling and everything was fine. Then a few weeks later I would turn it on and nothing would show, I would retry a few times then it worked. Then finally the sound is very very low. I then found the connector where the hdmi converter gets its power from, was loose and started scrambling my image and making the sound do rapid violent "pops". I took my console back to the office and yes, my sfc is permanently damaged like this no matter where or how it's hooked up, thankfully the first console didn't stay hooked up to the hdmi converter long enough to permanently damage it. I purchased a separate power surge with multiple outlets for this so that I could also turn it off if the game wasn't been used, so it wasn't sitting plugged in for prolonged amounts of time. ... show more

  • Great up to 1080p
RGB upscalers can get pretty complicated (and expensive), so I was pleased to see this simple little cable go straight from SNES to HDMI for a reasonable price. It only goes up to 720p, but it’s HDMI, so my TV and projector can take it from there. I’m no expert in image quality, but it’s loads better than using analog composite video directly, which was the only other option I could afford. But for a while, I couldn’t seem to get it to work at all. I just kept getting a black screen, and I couldn’t figure out why. I had some back and forth with LevelHike support, who were great about getting me a new cable to try out, but it behaved exactly the same. As it turns out, it doesn’t work for me in any 4K-capable HDMI input. I know it’s not a 4K cable, But other sub-4K inputs seem to work fine on my devices, but not this one. I found a 1080p-only port on my TV and it works great on that one, but none of the 4K-capable ports. I have a projector that only supports 1080p and it works there as well. But my A/V receiver supports 4K on every input, and only ever shows a black screen. It works great on my capture card, which only supports up to 1080p. All in all, I really like this cable, and I’m glad to add it to my in-progress streaming setup. But the 4K incompatibility keeps me from giving it 5 stars. It’s frustrating to have limited connectivity options, but as long as you have an input that maxes out at 1080p, this should work out great! ... show more
