We bought this product not for a vehicle, but as shade and rain protection for our chicken pen. We had tried different products before (tarps and canopies) that did not work, and were blown down by heavy wind. This was fairly easy to install, and so far so good. If a hurricane comes our way again we can easily remove the tarp and the frame should stay put (we tied it securely to the kennel sections that surround the pen). The framing tubes are heavier duty than I expected. The spring loaded locking pins make it easy to assemble and keep the tubes from separating from each other. The instructions are easy to follow.

It bends easily and the seller doesn’t sell replacement bars. Also the warranty is only 6 months so put it up when you get it so if you do run into issues you’ll have a better chance of getting a replacement.

After ordering this I decided to ask seller what was the wind raiting on this since it does state in the add "heavy duty / against strong winds" well, my response said. Better for light winds. After setting up the carport I see why.. it is very flimsy..would not have bought it if I knew even though the price was good.. still just a waste.. ... show more
