Right off the bat, very pleased when unboxed. It’s a solid feeling reel, all metal construction and a nice looking paint job. The spool is aluminum and it spins freely. At first glance, it’s very high quality, and definitely worth the purchase. Once you use it, though, you can see why it’s only $20. It’s very loud when casting, and the magnetic brakes don’t function very well. If you’re a decent angler with a baitcaster, I wouldn’t hesitate to add it to your arsenal with a color matching pole just to look good and spice up the collection. However, would not suggest for a beginner due to the lack of brake and drag fine tuning ability. Will birdsnest extremely easily if you don’t know what you’re doing. ... show more

Worst caster I’ve ever used. Setting knobs don’t work. Button didn’t lock in or out properly. Long story short it got yanked off my rod and I smashed it. A Walmart push button is better then this piece of crap.

I love the colors of these reels, and I figured for the (on sale) price that it would either be a surprisingly good reel or it would be great as a cheap reel for my toddler to practice with.

I am pretty experienced at using bait casters and this birds nested every single cast no matter how much line came out. So if you want a cheep bait caster then buy one thats worth it

I usually use a lews Mach smash and wanted to try this out to see what it was like and it is definitely amazing for the price! I’m highly impressed with it. I hooked up with 16 bass today and it performed like a champ!
