The different layers should keep just about anything from passing through. This shed is the perfect size for vegetable garden supplies. I bought an additional shelf that fit perfectly on the right side to accommodate sundries. The only drawbacks are that it took some effort to assemble and it’s ventilation is poor (I open the door sit a small fan inside on hot days).
