Hatsan is quality. I absolutely love their products. Clear lens great zoom that is not overstated. Yeah I traded my vortex for this one and I am beyond happy. I highly recommend optima or Hatsan products. I'm getting quality quality optics at a lower price than say a vortex scope. I've had other Hatsan Scopes I've used them and they zero quickly and remain zeroed. Plenty beefy enough to stand the double recoil action of an air rifle. here's a little trick that I do look at the scope from the other end not the end that you would normally view out of but the opposite end. from there generally you can see how cleanly the scope was manufactured. I have 6 of these. 4 mounted on scope killing Hatsan 125 magnum springers and 2 on Hatsan Vortex edge rifles. They are a huge improvement over the standard 4 x 32 that comes on most packages. One of my 125's managed to kill it one in about a week. Hatsan sent me a new one quickly. They other 5 are holding up just fine. Great company and customer service. If you want a real treat take a look at the other Hatsan scopes with AO lenses. They are value priced and work incredibly well. I have had good results with all my Hatsan scopes. I mounted one on a Remington for a while to test out the rifle. The original 4 x 32 scope that came with the Remington was beyond useless. ... show more

    • Some things you should know
I know this is a cheap scope and I didn't expect to engage targets at 600 meters. I just wanted to shoot turtles in the pond and gophers out in the pasture. First, I had a lot of difficulty getting the scope to focus. Second, even though the description shows a variable power, it's at best a 4x. Third, when I looked in the front lens, I could see rust already forming on the inside of the tube. The turret clicks were crisp and positive but I'm not sure if the crosshairs actually moved. Delivered early, intact and complete. It's an inexpensive airgun scope with rings. Nothing about it is high end, but, neither is the price. Rings were mounted per standard gun shop method. Thread lock used on ALL screws, this step is important! Do this or, keep tools handy to check for looseness periodically. Zeroes just like any scope. See through rings allow for open sights use if scope fails. Looks great on my rifle, helps me see the target better, inspires confidence. For the money, can't be beat. For the record, it's mounted on a Winchester model 1100s 177cal. pellet rifle. ... show more

    • BEST VALUE FOR STOCK SCOPE
Amazon, again, saves the day. After 50 rounds mounted on a Winchester spring air rifle, the scope became erratic. I sent it back and got a replacement. The second one seems to be doing well. I think the trick to scope longevity on a springer is to use a one piece scope mount. They seem to absorb the recoil shock better and transmit less vibration through the rings. Hatsan scopes are a great value. I also own the 3-9x40 scope with NO PROBLEMS after more than 3,000 rounds of spring pounding. I would recommend these scopes for their value and workmanship. ... show more

    • duplex into mildot??? Uuhhmmmm okay...
Well I'm not quite sure how this happened but last I checked this scope was a duplex reticle. What I received was a mildot reticle which is odd the scope was decent worked well but drop it once & it's done for the reason I rated this scope the way I did was #1 the seller that sold me the scope must have done something to the internals or they sold me a 100% knockoff item You may NOT be buying from the same seller as I did so just know for the price it's normally a decent scope pretty clear glass just do NOT drop it or buy from the seller I got mine from.... ... show more

Don't let the low purchase price fool you. I bought two of these for my Ruger Explorer youth gun pellet rifles. Neither of them would correctly focus at a 20yd target.
