  • A beautiful machine
So far I am loving this airbrush. The level of control and the application of paint is far superior than what I had been used to with my master airbrush. Absolute night and day difference. The build quality and ease of teardown/buildup of also amazing. You can feel the precision in their manufacturing process with every twist of a screwed in piece. And for basic thorough cleaning, everything can be disassembled by finger. Anemia did a great job packing everything together for shipping. I mainly use my airbrush for miniature model building, however my first project with this airbrush was for canvas painting. My daughter(her very first time using) did most of the painting, and I did all the swapping paint colors. We paid the background colors with the master brush, and then used the H&S to do all the rest. I can tell you with such certainty, that even something as simple as laying down a broad area of paint is so much more satisfying with the H&S. It's so more smooth and even. Swapping colors is a snap because of the time they took to smooth the inside is the cups. I also noticed there was no paint getting back to the trigger area when I pulled the needle out. The rubber scrubber works great, and what's better is that you can easily remove it for cleaning. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you purchase this airbrush. It is well worth the money. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
The quality of this airbrush is top notch. If like me you are upgrading from a cheaper Airbrush like a Master Airbrush, you will notice that the trigger on this Airbrush feels very different. you may want to adjust the trigger tension on this Airbrush to get it to suit you. (Different in a very good way) p/s: You can adjust the trigger tension so initially when you are pulling the trigger back, only a little air comes out but increase as you pull the trigger further back making going into tight small spaces so controllable. Absolutely love it!! I use airbrushes to paint scaled models and I am testing this airbrush with Lacquer paint, on a spoon to get perfect mirror reflection finish. The first thing I notice is how much paint is coming out from the brush when you pull the trigger. After 2 hours playing with it (and adjusting the trigger), I am able to control it much better. So there is definitely some getting use to. On the plus side, even though a lot of paint came out, the paint was atomized very well and spread beautifully/evenly. I didn't get any runs and the finish was smooth and beautiful. Yes, I can get the same results with my Master Airbrush but it requires care. With this airbrush, it is pretty much fire and forget. Detail work like panel line/edge shading is 1000% easier with this airbrush. The best part of this Airbrush is cleaning it. It is so easy to clean because of how easy you can take this airbrush apart. Also the Chrome finish makes it hard for paint to stick on them. The only negative I can think about is probably the price but you get what you pay for. If you dont mind the price, want an excellent airbrush for painting scale model and especially if you use Lacquer paint, I would high recommend this airbrush. (Or find other airbrushes with PTFE seals, O-rings dont like thinner) ... show more

  • Fantastic Airbrush
Stellar airbrush. Widely regarded as the best on the market and I understand why. I already owned a Paasche Vision and a Grex TG.3 and while they are decent the H&S is on a different level. The build quality is far superior to my Paasche. Things fit together better and operate more smoothly. Where Paasche left a burr at the bottom of the paint cup from drilling out the hole for the needle H&S has cleaned and deburred everything. Fit and finish everywhere is simply smoother and more pleasant. The needle guard on the front is less complicated and still superior to the magnet on the Grex. Grex needs a slightly stronger magnet to avoid losing the damn guards. I also prefer the top trigger vs. pistol grip for control and fine details. Pros: Removable paint cup makes it much easier to clean and provides the option to use a smaller or larger cup depending on the job. Tool-less nozzle assembly means you can disassemble and clean without needing to find a wrench. Thread-less needle guard with a very slight press fit which is easy to remove, but holds well enough to never fall off. Polished trigger makes for very smooth and consistent operation. Adjustable trigger stop means you can dial in your nominal paint volume and lock it in, but the added push-pull operation means you can very easily pop it out for full flow and pop it in to get back to the same exact set-point you were just using. Adjustable trigger spring force allows you to increase or decrease the force required to actuate the trigger...higher force leads to slower finger movement and better paint flow control, but the force can very quickly be reduced for long days or jobs operating and full flow so you reduce finger fatigue. The weight is impressively light. It's half the weight of my Paasche Vision and still quite a bit lighter than the Grex. Courtesy of the tool-less nozzle and great internal seals it's quite easy to clean. Cons: It's expensive. You get what you pay for, but it's still a bit hit on the wallet. ... show more

  • Top shelf
This is the 5th airbrush that I purchased. The others I own, Badger and Iwata's are great airbrushes. Harder & Steenbeck Infinity is remarkably superior. The machining and finish are fantastic. The true dual action controls are simple to use and make painting easy. I find controlling the amount of paint on the surface much easier. This airbrush might be a little complex for the beginner but, if could only own a single airbrush, the Infinity would be an easy choice. The only down side is the price but, in this case, you do get what you pay for. ... show more

  • Excellent
Excellent air brush gun with a solid well known name. Easy to use for beginner to advanced. Well worth it, especially if just starting out. Good learning curve.
