  • Poorly delivered, poorly made
Came with a broken button pad, couldn't use the blinkers, headlight, and horn as a result. It came missing pieces to mount the headlight so I guess that's a bust even if the button to turn it on worked. After a week of use the engine now dies everytime I hit a bump. They say it's good for trails but I suppose they meant flat, empty, dirt paths because it has an uncovered chain, have fun not having it get stuck in the first branch that pokes out at you and ruining whatever ride you're on. Awful product. Incompetent handling in delivery. Waste of time. Furthermore, the seat is very uncomfortable. It is metal bars thinly padded with tiny layer of some sort of padding and faux leather over top aluminum. Hitting bumps on this not only causes the battery to cut out but will also dig into your pelvis. The bike looks cool but that's the only thing good about it. Overpriced, poorly made, stylish trash. I didn't expect the best e-bike ever at this price but I expected it to not be an overblown children's toy. ... show more

  • Great trail bike
Arrived in good condition. Some assembly was required and not all of the steps were in the manual. 45 minutes of guesswork later and it was all set up. Initial charge took 3 hours. Just took it for its first spin around the neighborhood. It's quick, silent, and responsive. So far I'm loving it and will update the review after a week of hard use. [Review after 70 miles of use: Love it. Comfy, quick (it's held 33 mph just throttling but I'm slender), and gets people talking. The kickstand is somewhat shoddy and broke but a $24 replacement worked. It's cost about $12 worth of electricity for the 3 charges I've gone through. Good purchase. Would use the company again for a higher end replacement down the line. ... show more

  • Fun to ride. Great concept and design. Not a refined bike
I am an older, experienced, e bike owner. I ride on dirt and paved metro trails locally, and "Rails to Trails" (converted railroad trails) when distance riding all over the midwest. I have had this bike for about a month now. Chalked up 170 miles thus far. The bike arrived within a week and was vey well packaged. Assembly was straightforward. The only challenge was a gouge in the exterior packaging which resulted in the shimano shift cable being damaged. That was a fedex problem, not the manufacturer. Sent pictures to Happyrun and they quickly mailed me an all new shimano shifter with cable. Everything has worked great ever since. As for the bike, it's fun. Has enough power to do what it should. Speeds are as reported. The build quality is average at best. The welds, while not dangerous at all, are just ugly. No pride of workmanship there. It is without doubt the nicest ride of any ebike I have ever ridden. That rear shock works like a charm. Same with the front shocks. It has some great little features you would not expect for a bike of this money. Turn signals, volt meter, loud horn are just a few examples. But at the same time, it is missing some features that most other bikes have. There is no trip meter, just the odometer. Most people use their phones anyway so no big deal. There are only 3 peddle assist modes, most bikes have 5, and you really notice this on the Happyrun. You can't go slower than 12mph when in the lowest peddle assist mode while peddling. 10mph is more the standard on most bikes. So if you are one who takes in the scenery while riding, this bike might not fit the bill. Speaking of peddling, whenever I stopped and tried to start again just by peddling, it would take at least 3 full rotations of the crank before the motor would kick in. That's waaaaay too long. Most bikes would be anywhere from instantaneous, to within half a rotation. Happyrun markets this bike has having a range of up to 80 miles. As a distance rider, that was one of the main things that motivated me to purchase. However the battery has never gotten past 50 miles now on three distance rides. When i contacted Grace at Happyrun, (same great customer service person who sent me the cable by the way), she explained that was a max number based on hanging the bike in the air and running the motor till the battery went flat. Really??? So no weight, no drag. Not exactly anything close to real world conditions I am a very conservative rider because I am going for distance. I would tell you that unless you are skinny as a rail and slow as a snail, you will not get more than 50 miles from a charge. Normal riding is going to give you about 35 miles. Having said that, I will add, that's not terrible, in fact pretty normal. But it won't fit the bill for distance riding. The other note worthy omission is the lack of any lock out or adjustment to the front shock. They are what they are. You won't be adjusting them. The tires that come with the bike are quite "grippy". They hold the road. But they also are soft walls and I doubt they have the longevity of a Kenda or similar product. So here's what you have to keep in mind. At this price point you can't expect the refined nature of a $1700 bike. I bought the bike at a great sale price, and feel I got what I paid for, (read that has a positive statement, not sarcasm). This bike is best for someone who wants to just bomb around and have fun for 35 miles a charge. It's not a stump jumper or a distance bike, but for the money you will likely be paying, assuming you get the customer service I did, it is worth the price. ... show more

  • Loving this bike
I ride this bike to work and recreation and I have to say this is the most powerful and sturdy ebike I have ridden. Packaged well, built well, and the electronics and overall construction seem to be well thought out the reason only 4 stars is because this bike is heavy and a will need a little practice to handle. But what a tank. Was going to buy another for my wife but don't think her 5' 100 lb. Frame could control this bike. But for me I am impressed over all if my wife was bigger (glad she's not) I would purchase again. ... show more

  • Only for three days??
Pedal came clean off on my ride into work, couldn't find the piece to hold it on Everything else works well but this irritates me Edit: learned that the pedal got bent out of shape, we had to hammer it into place and put in a spare bolt, again everything works electronically but the pedals won't last EDIT: One effin' crash and the whole thing's totalled, don’t waste your money on this overpriced hunk of junk ... show more

  • Bike's motor never worked; 2 months now and still waiting for parts to arrive
The motor never worked. Paying for this ebike that I haven't used yet is a total disapointment. I bought this HR60 based on reviews and I am regretting my own expensive birthday gift. Parts are still on shipping. If I could get my money back I'd return it immediately. Update: Costumer service was excellent and sent me the replacement part last year. It was a total surprise to learn how phenomenal this e-bike is. It's powerful, fast, lasting battery, and it's just fun to ride. Costumer service was contacted about getting this e-bike fixed and now I'm waiting for my money back after I was promised to be paid back for the cost of the motor being replaced. Now it works like a charm and I'm having a wonderful time with it. Buy it. No regrets 😍 ... show more

  • Fast and fun
It’s a fun bike but it’s not worth it cheap charger, cheap battery dies fast. It’s on the charger longer than I get to ride it. Customer service is great though
