Can not be used for partial payments like a real gift card. If your total is greater than what's on the card you can't use it at all. Now the game becomes trying to get as close to the balance as possible without going over as opposed to actually getting what I want and using this to reduce my total owed. Luckily I got it for $42 so all I have to do is get my tab above that and below $50 so I can get my money back out of it. Definitely won't be falling for this scam again. ... show more

I bought this a during the Black Friday sales. When I to use it at Burger King they could not get it to work. Printed on the card it says to run as a credit sale but that wouldn't work. They also tried running it as a debit and as a regular gift card. Neither would work. The manager said he had never seen one of these multi-store gift cards. He said gift cards shouldn't need to be run as a credit sale since their registers have the option for gift cards. Nothing work. ... show more

Bought as Lightning Deal for $40. Worked at Panera and Jamba Juice with NO issues. Both cashiers knew to run as CREDIT card and when asking for PIN to hit RED button (NO button) on keypad. All the reviews that said it doesn't work were dealing with cashiers that didn't know what to do. If these cards didn't work, happycards.com would have shutdown and Amazon would not be selling them. ... show more

    • Unhappy Customer! Zero for Two with Online Orders - Will Never Buy This Card Again
Caveat emptor! I thought when I bought it that this would work as a typical restaurant gift card and allow me to apply it to the gift card or coupon section of an order. It does not. It works like a credit card and therefore you have to use it as a payment card. But I have attempted to use this card for two online food orders, one for Buffalo Wild Wings and one for Cheesecake Factory, and both orders had issues. For BWW, they don't allow you to split up your payment when ordering online so since the order was over $50 I was unable to use the card because the amount was too high. Yes, I probably could have split up the order - but then I am having to try and play around to max out the value not to mention the confusion of two different orders for the same person at the same time. This is not a hassle you have to deal with when you have a simple regular gift card. So, I was disappointed but I was ok on this first attempt as I figured I will use it again when I have a smaller order or at a place that allows more than one credit card. For Cheesecake Factory - they do allow multiple payments! So I entered the card with $50 of the total but the card failed becuase of "invalid address or zip code." There is no zip code on the card, but I read in a post that someone was successful just using their own zip code - so I tried that. No luck. I tried several other zip codes and no luck there either. And I can't find anything on the happy card website that talks about how to use a zip code. Finally, I tried to leave the field blank. Nope. So twice I have tried to use this card and it has not worked for me. I am hoping since I paid less than the total on a Black Friday deal I will eventually get to use it somewhere for at least the amount I paid for it - but I don't expect to ever get the full $50 out of this card and I will never buy one of these again. Great value as it was a prime day deal and paid $45 for a $50 card. Panera used with no issues but Cold Stone refused to use it and the regional manager in Chicagoland area said they had never seen it before. Jamba Juice said they’ve seen them every week and super common. Reached out to Cold Stone and they said stores can reject any gift card or promo cards at their discretion and if it wasn’t bought at their store then it should NOT be accepted. Oh well, at least it works at Panera and Jamba. Will buy again if it’s a deal, otherwise it’s pointless to buy online when they’re sold at every Grocery and drug store. ... show more

work at Burger king It has limit time random deal , I buy @ 42.5 this time not a bad deal working fine but not easy, able to check balance on its web. ( the card needed to be used as credit card, usually the store will charge as gift card because of its look.--->not working as gift card ! After i mention that needed to be used as credit card, the card always working well ) However, this may be not a so good as a gift. You can imagine that your friend uses this card and forgets to mentions "use as credit card". Then the store said "gift card not working...." Your friend hates the store and you anyway. These are not worth the extreme hassle. I bought two to gift based on the description. They suck. I ended up blowing them myself after realizing these do not work like they should. First, you can't get value since you have to be under $50. If your order is over $50, the card is declined. Happened 3x as I tried to get as close to $50 as possible. You would think you could just deduct $50 with this. Nope. Get as close as you can and lose the rest. Just not user friendly and not the value you think you are getting. No returns. No refunds. Not very giftable. You buy fast on the lightening deal and then instantly regret it reading the reviews. The reviews are right. If someone has wronged you, this "gift" might be a good payback.
