Wanted to leave a review to say that my gift card came with $50 loaded on it, it wasn't empty as another review said and I had no issues using it. I purchased from Amazon's 1st-party gift card seller, and as long as you do the same, you shouldn't have any issues (make sure you check who the card is being shipped/sold by before ordering). NOTES: you cannot add gift cards to the McDonalds app as a method of payment! Very annoying since I like to mobile order, but you can at least add deals to your "mobile wallet" or whatever it's called within the app, generate a QR code which you can show to the cashier, and then pay with the gift card. If you do that, make sure to turn off your default method of payment, before showing the cashier the QR code, which is a little toggle on the same screen. Otherwise it might automatically charge your credit card/Venmo/etc. Also, the security tab covering the card's pin wouldn't scratch off, and I ended up destroying it with my coin in the process, scratching too hard. Very annoying! Thankfully the pin is underneath the barcode, so I can still swipe the card in person without issue, I just can't call to check the balance since you need the pin to do so. The card itself feels cheaper than other gift cards and was easier to destroy than I expected, it's not like I was trying to attack it or anything, but I completely desecrated it within seconds. I'm still giving it 5 stars though since it's a gift card, with $50 on it, and that's all I need it to be. I just wish McDonald's would allow you to add it into the app like literally every other fast food place (or pretty much any place, food or not). I think it's really bizarre that you can't do that when they're pushing their in-app deals so heavily. ... show more
