I made some of the bath bombs and soaps with my 4 year old daughter’s supervision and direction. I did not let her handle any of the chemicals but she enjoyed helping drop the food coloring. This craft definitely requires adult supervision and handling for kids under 10. But it is pretty simple and the instructions are easy to follow and very helpful.     • Fun for preteens!
This kit has a lot of variety in it and I love that it can be spread out over multiple uses-one day a soap, another day a scrub, another day bath bombs. It's a lot nicer than just a one afternoon "one and done" activity box. If you are working with little kids (anyone under 10 really) you will need to have some adult supervision to make sure that all directions are being followed in the right order and with the right amounts. Older than 10 can do it on their own and enjoy the independence of creating science! The scrubs are the easier to make, so I would start with that first before moving into the soaps and bath bombs. The mold are nice, but we definitely had some colors leak from one area to the next (like the stem and the pineapple fruit or different color petals) so I wouldn't expect them to look perfect. The kit does require some patience which is why it's a better activity for preteen to young teens. I don't think kids over 16 would really get into this. Some might, but most wouldn't. My daughter received this for a Christmas gift and loved it. It was easy for her to make the bath bombs and soaps. They actually stuck together and made nice bath bombs and soaps. The only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food coloring stained out bathtub and sinks.

This kit is fun for the whole family. It comes with easy and simple instructions. The bath bombs are comparable to the type you buy in stores. It comes with 2 scents, lemon and green apple and they smell great. The blue coloring did stain my tub after using the bath bombs,but it comes off after cleaning it with a simple tub cleaner or any soap. The soaps were easy and simple to make and fun to make with children adults definitely have to supervise the children when heating up the soap because it gets really hot. ... show more

My 11-year-old granddaughter loves bath bombs, so this kit really hit the spot with her. She really had fun with some of the 'projects' but some supervision is definitely needed. This is great for learning the basics of making bath bombs and soap. It’s fun for the whole family. Very simple instructions to follow. The color in the bath bombs did turn my white bathtub blue. It took some scrubbing to get it out. I would suggest to use very little to no color in the bath bombs the color from the soap did not transfer to the bathtub. ... show more

The box that it comes in is giftable. There are a lot of options in this kit, so it’s a nice kit for the value. This can be fun for kids of all ages, as long as they’re supervised. It is very easy to understand and our creations have turned out great so far!
