Kitchen is small but it's quite good for a toddler, for bigger children I think it would be very small. It is quite basic, they could have added something additional such as a light or sound when turning on the burners, leaving that aside the quality of the materials is good and quite easy to assemble I don't think it takes more than an hour to assemble it. ... show more

This little kitchen was a gift for my 14 month old granddaughter. It is the perfect size for younger kids! It is very sturdy and well built! She is a little young to pretend "cook" but I'm sure she will grow into it very soon!

After reading the reviews, I ordered this well before Christmas so I would have time to return it, if I felt it was a crummy, cheaply made toy. I build furniture and know a little about what I wanted to see, material-wise . I expected the worst. HOWEVER, while I found some aspects of the directions a little confusing, I got it together in 30 minutes or so. A second set of hands to hold things together before putting in fasteners would be helpful to anyone buying this. The important things I noticed were the fact that high quality, Baltic Birch plywood was used for most essential parts. Assembly also employed barrel nuts to act as bosses to hold the nice quality machine screws that do most of the holding. Yes, a little mdf was used to make some internal partitions, but they are inconsequential and are captured in dados let into the plywood pieces. They are as good as they need to be. One of the doors is a tiny bit warped and I might have liked to see some kind of magnetic door clasp, I may add one myself. All-in-all, this is a very well made children's toy. I will see how it holds up after my 2, 2 1/2 year-0ld granddaughters give it a once over at Christmas. I am impressed, so far. ... show more

Got this for my 2 1/2 yr old grandson’s playhouse after an antique child’s play stove and fridge he saw mesmerized him. First thing he did was stand on it but luckily it is sturdy and built well. Hasn’t stood on it since but I put some foam tiles underneath just in case. He likes opening the cabinets, turning the knobs on the stove and trying to turn on the water. Great size for both my 4 y/o and 18 month old. They both love it. It is nice to watch them play together. Construction took about an hour and it seems sturdy.
