Handy Flux is a very durable and powerful general purpose flux that protects your parts up to 1600°F (870°C). It is an active fluoride-type flux which is appropriate for all nonferrous metals and begins to melt and dissolve oxides at 600°F (320°C). Paste formula can be cleaned up with hot water. 1 lb jar. Good quality flux that I use for silver soldering. Keep the lid on or it will dry out quickly, but even when dried can be fixed by adding some water.

The previous jars I purchased all had small openings on the top – and of course, was less than 1 pound. I like the fact that the opening is much larger on this.     • Great value but...
The product is a great value for the amount. The only problem, it's too much and it has an expiration date which I did not see in the description. I started a return but would need to pay for return shipping and time to get it together rendered it not worth returning.

Delivery was super prompt. Got in the habit of using this product when I was taking jewelry classes years ago. I work primarily in copper with some silver. Has been reliable for me.

    • Jewelry flux.
If you are doing any kind of jewelry then you need this flux. It's flux, don't eat it, play with it, or use it to wash your clothes. When used correctly this should get rid of any nasties that would prevent a good solder joint on your creations. Exercise caution and have fun with your craft.

    • Good product
It came a little chunky. I mixed it and keep plastic wrap directly on the flux with the top screwed back on top. It has not dried out since I did that.
