  • Great value!
Color: Rosin Paste
This flux wax is perfect for soldering. I almost returned it after seeing more people use syringe flux, but I am glad I didn't. This flux is clean, and works well. I dip my solder in the wax and apply it to the board or just melt it onto the board with my iron and it works perfectly, no need for a syringe. I especially love that it is made in the USA, not many products are anymore so I really love being able to support the manufacturers who still produce products here. The quality is evident as well, this is a well-formulated wax, not some cheap Chinese junk. ... show more

  • Great flux

The container was very full when I got it, and the cap is difficult to get back on due to air pressure. I ended up poking a tiny hole in the cap with a thumb tack to allow air to enter and exit when removing and capping it. It works well and is very soft and melts easily. The scent is also pleasing.

  • Good stuff

Since I’m no good at soldering I’m no solder snob. I chose this stuff based on reviews and it didn’t let me down. It does its job well. I have no complaints. If I were a professional I may be more critical. Homeowners buy it.

  • like magic
Color: Rosin Flux - 2 Pack
Often solder will come with a rosin flux core, which is usually fine for basic soldering things together. But for trickier projects having a bin of this stuff is a must. For years I've been plagued with desoldering woes "Why wont this wick work", "why isn't the factory solder melting", "do I really need to run my iron at 410°C to melt lead-free?", etc... No longer. This flux is thick and waxy cold but melts instantly, doesn't evaporate, and can tolerate a lot of heat before burning. It's easy to apply, just use a brush, toothpick, or dip the leads of your component into it. By stripping away oxidation it allows solder to easily adhere to other metals improving your thermal transfer and the resulting joint. If you've ever tried soldering but it won't stick to your wire, it's because you need some of this stuff. I will say, if you let it burn it can be a bit of a hassle to clean up. Isopropanol dissolves it, but once burned you're going to need to scrub. Not that it really matters, leaving the residue of rosin flux isn't really harmful because it's not very corrosive. ... show more
