    • Very well made paint gun for the price
I haven't actually used this paint gun since I will be painting this summer. I will say, it's a sharp looking unit that seems to be quality made. The weight to it is substantial and the parts/attachments do not seem to be cheap. I have never used a paint gun before but have an outdoor fence to paint this summer. It's going to be a big chore but should be easier with this paint gun. I hope to update this review after I complete my project. For now, I am happy with this purchase. ... show more

    • It is a good beginner gun
I have a couple different paint sprayers. HomeRight finish max, Graco 360 and a Graco X5. I am rating this Handife based on its own performance and not against more expensive or similar products. A couple things I noticed while unboxing and checking the sprayer out is that this gun has plastic nozzles and needle. I am not a fan of that. I prefer them to be a more durable material, such as metal. But I have to remember that this is only a $60 dollar gun. Another thing I noticed during a "dry firing" of the gun is that it seems to take a second or two for the motor to wind up enough to produce a sufficient air force to atomize the paint. To also test this out, I let my coworker use this gun to paint corners in a room we had just finished drywalling. My coworker had no prior experience with a paint gun and I wanted his thoughts on how it felt to him as a beginner to operate it. During initial start up, I did notice that there were several heavy globs of paint that were spit out on the wall because there was not enough atomization, but it cleared up when going along. It gave about a 6" vertical/horizontal spray pattern, and even though I turned the paint volume dial to max, paint was not exactly gushing out. It did work, and my coworker learned a few valuable lessons about how to apply it without getting drips everywhere. He then took and cleaned it all out and said that it was actually pretty simple to get clean. All in all, it is an OK sprayer and it would be useful for a beginner to practice with, or in applications that don't require a fine finish. ... show more

I had an electric hand held sprayer for doing furniture and it was lost in a recent move, so I am excited to get started on some projects that have been waiting in the wings! This one comes with everything you need to get started, including paint filters to strain the paint before use. It isn't too heavy and the cord is a decent length, but I tend to add an extension cord when I'm using one of these, anyway. It also comes with extra nozzles and a cleaning brush. ... show more

    • Good beginner paint sprayer
I picked this up to use with my high school maker space students. The kids create all kinds of projects in my class, and do a lot of improvements around the school. Out of the box, the instructions were very clear. I had my students take the lead on everything, just providing answers to questions when they had them. They were able to figure out how to thin the paint correctly, use and clean the sprayer without issue. Our first use was the cover some graffiti. It worked pretty well. Coverage was good. It did take my students a little while to figure out how to spray without getting drippy spots, but after a little bit, they were able to use it well. Clean up was easy, which is nice when I'm using it at school. There are some parts that are plastic instead of metal so I don't expect it to last more than a year or two, but it's a great beginner tool! ... show more

    • Good for general painting and smaller projects
I think this works fine and is a great option for smaller projects like single rooms, doors, moulding, etc. Trying to use it for a whole house would be tiresome because it holds so little paint. The instructions are surprisingly more informative than I expected. It's great that they try to help users understand how to thin out their paint for use in a sprayer. It comes apart easily for cleanup but I also use the tried and true first step of running clean water through just like I do with my larger airless paint sprayer.     • Easy clean up
If I could rate this solely on ease of clean up 5 stars The motor/plug side simply unattaches from the front paint spray tip and paint reservoir. All of the attachments are plastic, making for easy assembly and clean up- especially if you have weak hands like me! I feel like this sprayer is similar in costruction and function as the finish Max sprayer by Homeright. I have several paint sprayers and prefer the finish Max and use it almost daily. I wish the finish Max were this easy to assemble and clean and had the option to take the motor off when cleaning. The finish Max delivers finer finishes for furniture and cabinets. While this sprayer handles most general finishes like a dream, fine applications even with the orange tip, produces heavy orange peel and inconsistent application. I painted a 500sqft dock with this and it handled the job great. Definitely recommend for fences, docks, decks ect just may not be ideal for furniture or cabinets ... show more

This is a decent paint sprayer. It's pretty easy to use and it's not too heavy to hold. This would be a good tool for painting small items and nothing heavy duty to too big. Good price for the quality you get.

    • Where were you 30 years ago??
I have been using these, are it's close cousins for a long time now, a few decades and I can tell you that this is one of the better one's I've tried. The instructions for it are fairly precise and accurate, and I saw no bits of flash or burrs ar anything that would impede it's performance. The mixing instructions are informative and a bit fuller than most of these guns get, so it makes it easier to mix your paints. The spray pattern was pretty consistent with the tip and viscosity I was using, a smaller tip than suggested for the slightly thicker than called for medium I was spraying. It still gave me a nice spray pattern, no globbing or spitting, I just had to step back a little bit. Cleanup was very easy, the unit broke down to components easily, and was reassembled just as easily. With a nice sizing of tips it gives a fairly wide range of patterns, thus giving you a wider range of jobs to use it on. Would I buy this again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others?
