(Really deserves five stars, but I don't trust five star reviews on Amazon anymore--I look at the three and four stars.) Handicapped placards can break; this is sturdy with possible multiple uses and easy to use. After more than ten years using handicapped placards, I've decided to finally bite the bullet and get the plates when my current registration expires in November. The idea of doing that always meant that I was somehow giving up and admitting that my mobility will never be great. So when my current placard broke beneath the hanging hole, I decided to look for a holder that I could use for other things when I don't need it for the placard. This fits the bill--great for placard holding, but also can hold pens, paperwork and other things--even CDs. Added this to my car after constantly having to reach or dig between seats for my placard. I would always hang it between the seat when not in use on the edge of the center console cup holder and often forget to put it up at times. Now I not only have a place for the placard, the pocket is perfect for registration and car insurance cards too. Easy as flipping the visor down to reveal through the window and I have been less likely to forget in doing so because its right in front of you when about to exit the vehicle. It does hang of my specific vehicle visor on the skinny side but doesn't affect the function. Pouch picture does show the correct width, I don't think it needs to be that wide to insert the placard, however I understand the placard shape, design and material varies from state to state.
