    • Great Tool for Cutting Canvas!
I purchased this tool to cut heavy canvas fabric and solar screen fabric. It heated up quickly and I was able to cut clean lines of the fabric without any fraying of material. It also It was light and easy to use. Good price too.

It’s works great! I ordered this to cut outdoor fabric which frayed when using scissors. This hot knife easily slide through the fabric very smoothly and sealed in edges as I cut. I used it on top my granite counter top and didn’t have any issues. The only con for me is it started feeling a little heavy after cutting 16 pieces from 11 yards.     • Plenty of heat for cutting
I purchased this hot knife for cutting synthetic materials and it certainly fits the bill. The cutting blade that is included in the kit works very well but you will need to practice with it to get the best cut. If you move too slowly the knife will scorch the material. The knife heats very quickly and it is ready to use in seconds. A couple of things that would have made the knife better. First, you do not get a carrying case. The knife arrives in a cardboard box packed with pre-cut foam. There are only a few pieces to keep track of but it would be nice to have a sturdy case to hold everything in one place. Second, the instructions are clearly written by someone that speaks English as a second language. Luckily this is not a complicated tool so you will get the gist of the instructions. ... show more

Built a 25 foot awning out of rip-stop nylon (tent material) and this heat knife was invaluable!! Totally worth it. Also works great for cutting and sealing paracord.
