  • Excellent, and very very clearly written
This book has a number of easy-to-build woodworking projects for the home and garden. The instructions are clear. The illustrations are excellent. I highly recommend for the beginner.

  • Not really form a beginner - if you know how to modify things you’ll be ok.
We built the chaise lounge. Pros - The dowel for spacers is a great idea and worked perfectly - Directions were easy to understand - lots of pictures which was very helpful - cuts were spot on Cons - read the entire chapter of the item you are building before you go to the store, - material list did not include all the wood needed - read through once we bought the wood, and realized we needed another 1x3 1x4 and 1x6 x 8. That’s on us for not reading but seriously any well written instructions include the entire materials list. - legs too flimsy so we had to add an interior 2x2 to I force legs. - only time will tell how well the back stops will hold up as well as the back support. It’s flimsy. Ok for someone who knows a little about woodworking ... show more

  • Rockin' Woodworking Book!
This book is a very thorough guide into woodworking, and I can't wait to try out a project of my own! Wish me luck! PS - The pictures and the example pieces are works of art in and of themselves!

  • Nice selection of projects
Nice selection of projects, not all the designs are appealing. However, the book has good instructions and very detailed. Also intro tell you about tools you will need and tips on how to use them. A good way to get started in wood working.
