I have only used this as an oven, not as a toaster. It heats up more than twice as fast as my big oven. It doesn't heat the kitchen up in the summer. It is cool underneath, no need to protect the counter; but be aware, above it can get hot. It is so light weight that I pull it out from under the cabinets when I use it. It bakes very evenly. So far, this toaster oven is performing well. Takes up a decent amount of counter space, so probably not practical for those with a limited amount of it. Toasts & broils well. Only weird aspect is moving the rack between its 3 slots/tracks (Hi/Middle/Low). They fit riduclously tight. Moving the rack from the middle position to the lower one required the use of a pliars -- and a lot of strength. The slots for the racks are so tight that it's either a design flaw, or the one I purchased is defective. It kind of feels like it may loosen upon repeated use, but good luck getting there. ... show more

I love it.. looks great on the kitchen counter, but as big family was triple job for me to use. I recommend it for 2 or 3 people max. So i am returning it and getting bigger one, i wish they have bigger one !!!.

It performs all functions well and is well made excepting one detail, the door stays open a little less than 1/4 of an inch at the top, allowing heat to escape. It just does not close. Obviously heat escapes and maybe it causes stuff to cook longer? I got the unit discounted so maybe they fixed this problem (it was an $85 "deal of the day"). Certainly worth what I paid. As close as you can get to deep frying, although it takes longer. I like it and I'm happy with it. It works great and I think I can clip the door shut. ... show more

I bought this because it says it holds a 9x13 pan. Well then I read the instruction book and it says a 9x13 pan WITHOUT handles. All of my pyrex pans have handles. Even the throw away foil pan I bought for an extra Thanksgiving pan does not fit. So now I have to go back to the stores and find a pan without handles. When I open the door to take out food, it seems as hot as the inside of the oven. I guess it would be. I manage to burn myself. I do that when I try to lift the door and close it. I guess because the handle is resting on the counter so I grab the door without thinking.
