  • Best camera for the money!
I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Haloview BT7 RV Backup Camera. The installation process was straightforward, I had the camera up and running in no time. The project took about 30-45 minutes. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. The provided connecting pieces allowed me to connect to the system without splicing wires. The camera securely mounted on the back of my RV. I didn't need any special tools to get everything working. The bracket provided did not completely cover up the hole for the Furrion camera. There was a 1/16th of an inch on the bottom of the hole. Nothing the caulk job could not cover. Setting up the wireless connection with the display monitor inside the vehicle was a breeze. I will say I skipped the step about pairing beforehand and had no issues. My Trailer is 35’ from tongue to rear. Haloview really designed this product to be user-friendly. I mounted my camera to my review mirror. Once the camera was in place, I found the clarity and quality of the video feed was good. The HD camera provided a clear view of everything behind my RV. One thing to note is the default view is flipped from left to right. I had to switch that because driving down the road flipped really bothered me. I never lost connection to the camera while driving down the road. The wireless signal has been rock-solid even at two bars! I was really concerned about this because the other cameras said they needed line of site for the antennas. I was concerned about potential interference and/or dropouts, but the system has been incredibly reliable. The video transmission is smooth, with little noticeable lag between the camera and the monitor, which is crucial for safe and efficient driving. Backing up and parking was much easier than before. Would like to try the side cameras to see how they perform! I highly recommend the Haloview BT7 without any reservations. I will upload photos soon. ... show more

  • Works great when it works
I purchased this system with the side Cameras Aug 2022. I initially had issues with the right side camera not pairing however, Haloview was extremely quick to act and I was up and running with a new camera. During the year I would have various cameras not work and need to be re-paired. An inconvenience but nothing to time consuming. Now I have had the rear camera go out. I have paired it and it shows decent status bars but, no picture. Normally when not paired it would say no signal. In this case I believe the camera is defective and/or the monitor. I question the monitor because I frequently have to re-pair all cameras. I am out of warranty and have reached out to Haloview and not received any response. The problem is, I love the system when it works but I can't keep buying new monitors or cameras every 18 months. Picture quality when working is excellent. Cameral quality is questionable. Installation is a breeze. This is an update to a prior review. UPDATE: I contacted Haloview and they sent me a new monitor and had me return the original one. This did not fix my issue. I still could not get a picture from my rear camera although I was getting a signal. They sent me a replacement rear camera and after pairing, it works perfect. Things can happen, especially with electronics but how the manufacturer responds tells the real story. The support was better than really one could expect. ... show more

  • Fantastic
We installed this unit as a replacement for the Furrion that was installed when we purchased our fifth wheel 6 years ago. The picture quality is so much better. We added the side view cameras and they work great. No problems with connectivity on our 31' unit. I only gave 4 stars for ease of installation. The wiring wasn't a big deal, but setting up the view was difficult because there were no instructions. We installed the backup camera first and it was auto assigned to camera view 3. Then when we added the side cameras, they were not autoloaded to a slot. I had the screen set to view 3 which was the only active display. When I tried to add a side camera, it overwrote camera 3 and I lost the backup camera. Had to go back up on the ladder to hit the button and re-add that camera. I had to write to the manufacturer to get instructions on set up. The two symbols on the tiny buttons are hard for me to read. But now that we have it up and running it is a great camera. When towing I have it mounted over the rear view mirror (not using that with a fifth wheel) to display back and sides at all times. ... show more

  • Good quality camera and clear monitor screen
First off, the camera mounted to easily. That’s because my trailer came pre wired for the Furrion system. I removed the Furrion housing, cleaned up the old silicone, attached the adapter cable to the existing Furrion cable connector, it new silicone on the gasket and installed the new camera. Easy peasy. When I plugged the monitor in to the power outlet ( what my generation calls a cigarette lighter, yes, I’m old), the camera immediately paired with the monitor. Done. Simple. The camera quality is really clear (only checked in daylight) and you can adjust the camera down to an angle that suits you. The downside, and it’s a small one, is the software for the menu in the monitor is not intuitive nor are the buttons on the side of the monitor. But, once I figured it out, I was able to navigate my way around without too much trouble. Am I happy I got the system? Yes! This will help me backup the trailer by myself and with the side marker cameras, I’ll be able to tow more comfortably and confidently. As far how it holds up under use, I’ll have to wait and see on our next trip. ... show more
