    • Great lamp, a little difficult to assemble
This is a great lamp and it's very cute. The only issue I've had so far is that it was a little difficult to assemble. The instructions weren't great, but it’s pretty clear how to put it together. My issue was it was hard physically to put together. I have Raynaud's pretty severely in my right hand, which means the blood flow isn't great so my had is weaker than normal, so when I was trying to put the pieces together and get the screws in it was difficult. Its nice because you don’t have to worry about it falling apart, but if you have arthritis or anything that affects your hands, you’ll probably need help assembling it. I guess that I should have expected it to be a little resistant to make sure that its not falling apart, but I had to ask for help and that is the bane of my existence. ... show more

This is Harry. He sits right above my working desk and lights up the space nicely. While larger than expected, he feels sturdy, had no missing/bad parts, and was easy to assemble. UPDATE: The company was quick to respond to my issue and, even though I was delayed in getting back to them because of a family emergency, they promptly sent me a new lamp when I did finally respond. Excellent customer service. The lamp is adorable, but open it up right away and check the parts! I wanted a lamp to sit on top of a 6 foot high, 9 ft. wide book case in a fairly large but dark living room. I just ordered a second lamp, assuming that together, next to each other, that's an 80 watt bulb equivalent. While this lamp is cute and poseable, I found it very hard to put together. The holes drilled aren't quite big enough so it's a struggle to assemble and it's difficult to pose. Also, the lampshade pictures are misleading. It shows a covered top so when you bend the lampshade you don't have a lightbulb glaring at you. But, it's not a covered lampshade. And the lampshade falls off quite easily. I was disappointed in this lamp. I should have bought the original -- Louie the Lamp. ... show more
