Doesn't heat like it should. I tried to straighten my fairly straight hair I just like to flat iron fly aways but it didn't do anything. My hair kept getting caught on edge of the plate and it would rip my hair. By the time I was done trying to straighten my hair there was a lit of hair on the floor from it getting stuck on the edge of the plate and ripping out. ... show more

I am so glad I got this. I had an old flat iron I bought at a thrift store, just to see if I liked my hair straight. I’ve had it for several years and used it maybe 5-6 times. Recently I started to style my hair differently and used it on my side swept bangs, the only problem being I had to straighten it then curl the ends which was a pain. I think it’s a good value and was packaged very nicely probably great for traveling... I think the iron worked well in my case it was just user error. I bought the straightener to use to curl my hair and I just can’t get the hang of it so I ended up returning it although I think if you know how to curl your hair with a flat iron or are going to use that for a straightener, you would be pleased with this product. ... show more
