  • Good value
Size: 19'x9.2'x6.5'
The run was delivered quickly. Frame set up was pretty easy. The roll of chicken wire was green vinyl and of good quality. The zip ties were of poor quality and would break with a good tug. Also, there were not near enough of them. Be prepared to buy a couple hundred 8 inch zip ties. The door latch, while functional, does not provide good enough security for our peace of mind. I replaced it. The provided canopy is excellent. Overall, the run is a very good buy. The shining 5 star goes to their Customer Service department. I reached out to them wanting to obtain two more canopies. Their response was immediate with the canopies arriving within 7 days. Very nice! ... show more

  • Great addition to our chicken coop
Size: 6.5'x9.2'x6.5'
We built a chicken coop this spring, but it cost us an arm and a leg in building materials. As our flock grew, we could tell right away that creating extra space was going to be needed. Comparing the price of building a chicken run ourselves to the cost of this, it was an easy decision. The instructions were more than adequate, and the fact that the parts were all numbered and corresponded to the step by step build sheet, it made put this together a fun experience. Everything we needed to put it together was in the box, all the way down to a decent quality wrench. I was worried about possibly not having enough chicken wire if we didn't assemble it "just so", but when the box arrived, we were very pleased to see that there was waaaaay more provided than we actually needed. The chicken wire is rubber coated too, so it can be handled without gloves, which was really nice. The kit came with a few extra nuts and bolts than was required, just in case. Always good to see. It comes with a ton of zip ties which were of great quality, not the cheapie kind that snap in half when pulling them tight. All in all, I highly recommend this chicken run. I don't usually do reviews on products, but this kit exceeded what I was expecting. Just thought I would pass my experience on, hope it helps ... show more

  • So far, so good
Size: 13'x9.2'x6.5'
I didn't buy this for chickens or ducks, though I would love to one day have both. I am slowly converting my backyard into a productive one... anyway, bought this to make myself a greenhouse, and I got about halfway with the assembly until I had to call for reinforcements. It was really just the top bar that was beyond my single person ability, and I needed both someone taller and someone more skilled at figuring out the gobbledygook instructions that come with these sorts of things. I prefer a combo of pictures and words, because pictures alone are iffy and words alone are sketchy. Anyway, assembled. Tossed some plastic film on top and voila, greenhouse. I will say if I DID get this for livestock and I DID live in the country where predators are more likely, I don't know how well this would do for a coop. The chicken wire is finicky, a bit flimsy and you would need a lot, lot, lot of zipties to fully secure it down. For me, this was a pretty good deal and I hope it keeps my garden beds nice and cozy. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for—nice run, but missing parts and requires extra materials
Size: 13'x9.2'x6.5'
Oh boy, do I have a lot to say about this run! I spent MANY days researching the “best” metal run to use. Wood is too expensive currently, so we opted for one. What initially made me pick this: I really liked the price point, the round top, the size, and the small metal pieces used for stability at the bottom of the run. It arrived in one long box, everything seemed intact. As we put things together we realized the instructions were a little vague. However, my husband is really handy and figured it out. We also noticed that there were some weird, random missing.. like the very useless stakes that hold the run down, we only received 8 and needed about 14? On the tarp, one of the metal grommets was missing. The shorter metal pieces for stability, there were missing pieces for hardware as well as holes not drilled so we couldn’t add the rest of them. Annoying, but not the end of the world. The chicken wire is pretty sturdy and came in one long big roll. You definitely need 2 people to do this, unless you want it to look really bad. You also need a tool to cut the wire as it does not come with one. My husband already had one, so no biggie. We did it by section, starting on the right and rolling it out and cutting off a section. We rolled it over the top in two sections for the “roof.” We did two big sections for the front and back, cutting out the door from the front. We did have a good amount of extra chicken wire left over! One spot on the chicken wire did have a small “hole” so just look out for that. The green wire does help it blend into the foreground if that matters to you. When we added the zip ties, one of us pulled the chicken wire tightly in one direction and then the other added the zip tie. This proved to be really helpful and very essential in making sure it wasn’t all lumpy and loose. For the zip ties, you will need a lot. Even if you don’t care about the type of zip tie, you WILL run out. The zip ties it comes with are not half bad (white, smaller than medium size I’d say), but they obviously are not for the outdoors. Do yourself a favor and go to Lowe’s and buy a big bag of the UVB outdoor zip ties! Basically every inch or two needs one. And to make sure it doesn’t look like absolute garbage, you want to snip the ends of the zip ties.. but that’s up to personal preference. :) The door was honestly the WORST part of all of this. To securely put chicken wire on, the metal bends therefore the latch the door doesn’t fit. We had to buy a bigger latch, as it didnt work with the smaller one it comes with. The bolts are VERY cheaply made, so you’re unable to tighten them completely so that it holds still without snapping the bolts. Multiple snap bolts, but thankfully there were extras from all the braces we couldn’t add on lol! There is also big gaps around the sides of the door. We are still working on covering some up so birds and squirrels can’t get in. We knew we would still need to reinforce it for the safety of our chickens. If you do need this for chickens, you really need to add hardware cloth. We added 1/2 inch and yes, it’s expensive but worth it. We just did the bottom half so far, as you can see in the photo. I recommend also doing a predator skirt around it (lay down some around the perimeter, cover with pavers or other items). Bottom line: I don't hate it at all, I actually like it. I think for the price, it is not half bad. The things missing and the frustrating parts (i.e. the door) were annoying, but didn't ruin the whole product. I do think that this is pretty sturdy and will hold up well. Update as of 1 week: some of the metal poles are now lightly rusting after lots of rain we just got. ... show more

  • Makes a good turkey tractor!
Size: 13'x10'x6.5'without ladder
A decent product for the money, very functional. I had to buy another two packs of zip ties to secure the wire and I screwed it to PT 2x6s so it wouldn't blow away. I attached a rope to the 2x6s to pull it along, and threw a tarp over the top. I wouldn't trust the chicken wire as it is very flimsy if i didn't have working dogs. ... show more

  • Lightweight, good size, quick setup
Size: 13'x9.2'x6.5'
Assembled product is lightweight, which made me worry about it during storms. I dont feel like the provided stakes are adequate and I left the tarp off for this reason. Quick assembly as all parts snap together, except for the door. Installation of the netting is simple, but is much easier with 2 people. I left the netting off the back and butted it up against my chicken house. The round feet on the cage make it impossible to fully butt the cage flush with the wall. Guess you could cut them off if you wanted. Overall good, quickly assembled product. Shipping was also fast. ... show more
