This deck of cards was disappointing. I have a card collection of over 200 decks of cards from all over, so I'm used to comparing various decks against what I paid for them. The HAAKUN WItty Cats were cute and fun, but way overpriced for what you get. These are on par with gift shop cards, that should be selling from $5-6 bucks. The cards are nice and have a water-resistant sheen, but for what we got I expected the whole deck to be more customized. A die-hard cat person who plays bridge would love this deck. So for those who need a quick guide on what to look for and why... My Pricing Guide: Plain Deck - <$5. Standard Themed Deck (Casino/Series/Pop Culture) - $5-10. Fancy Decks - $8-15. Rare Decks - $10-$20. Anything over $20 isn't worth it unless it has been modified (autographed, limited edition, etc.) Plain Deck: Think Bicycle or Pinnacle. Regular old playing cards, they could be jumbo, or whatever, almost ALL kids playing cards fall in this category. Note: Make sure off-brand cards are at least water-resistant. Themed Deck (*This Product*): Similar to a plain deck, includes custom artwork on the case + face cards. It is important to know that it takes a known artist, brand, or location to raise a deck from 'plain' to 'themed' as most of the 'kids' decks have custom art on case + face cards. Brands like Bicycle make tons of 'themed' decks from sports teams to constellations. Most commonly produced decks of cards. Fancy Decks: Brands like Theory11. Upgrades to the cards themselves. At current list of $11.95, these feel a bit steep. But - similar novelty cards are comparably priced, so eh. The tuck box is wonderfully designed with embossing and interior printing. Nice and sturdy. The cards feel like mid-grade playing cards... not the super cheap flat glossy cards of my childhood, but not magician-quality cardistry grade. Perfectly serviceable for family games. The pips are tastefully decorated and the face cards have unique illustrations for each suit. My son loves cats, so he was pleased to see this set of cards. They are standard playing cards that feature regal cats on the face cards. The illustrations are cute and fun while not distracting from the usability of the cards. My son wished that cats were also featured on the number cards, but they are not. There's no denying that these playing cards are unique, attractive, and well made. Made in the USA, they have a really nice, premium looking, linen matte finish to them. The cards also are somewhat textured on the fronts, and are even waterproof! I really like that about them, since I won't have to worry if someone accidentally spills something on them. The comical cat designs are only on the Jacks, Queens, Kings, Aces and Jokers (like other reviewers said). While disappointing, everything else about these cards is great. My favorite feline cards are the spade queen, king, and jack. I especially love the spade queen kitty. She's just so mischievous and regal royalty in her purple attire. These HAAKUN Witty Cat Playing Cards are the cat's Meow. They would make a sensational stocking stuffer or gift add-on, for any kitty lover. The HAAKUN company also makes playing cards that have 15 different designs on them. I noticed that they have playing cards for just about anyone. The different designs include dogs, vampires, wolves, fantasy, princesses, horror, and even dragons, just to name a few. These quality cards look way better than the pictures of them.
