I purchased this bedframe a couple of years ago and it is still holding up REALLY well. I absolutely love the design's simplicity and ease of putting it together by MYSELF! FRIENDLY HINT THOUGH: Get a POOL NOODLE to cut apart and/or FOAM TUBE protection to put around EACH leg of the frame. I can not tell you how many times I have been SO happy I put these in place for times I was making the bed or just walking around it in general. Those legs WILL destroy your feet and toes in a hurry if you don't do this! LOL ... show more

When assembling, I noticed one of the brackets was bent inwards preventing it being connected to the center cross support. I used a wrench to bend it outwards to fit and it seemed fine…this same defective frame piece was also missing a leg plug. I used a stick on EZ glide surface protector and also used the black plastic packaging piece that came on the end of the slats bundle to solve that deficit. I placed that side of the bed frame against the wall so you can’t see the fix. Once I inserted the cross support slats, the frame felt very solid. No missing parts. Easy as assembly. If you are placing the frame on carpet, make sure you check that the center outside support legs are sitting flat on the floor. ... show more

I am very impressed with this frame. Its easy to assemble and very sturdy. I am a 6 foot tall overweight person and this frame doesn't move or make any sound at all. I like this frame so much I will be taking it with me the next time I move. The price is excellent. I have paid an absurd amount of money on other frames and this is the sturdiest easy to move frame I have ever owned. You can also store a lot under this frame.     • Surprisingly good deal
I had some reservations about ordering this. How could a California king bed frame ship all the way to Guam, yet be strong enough to do the job? I'm very happy with this purchase and will try to answer the questions I had in my mind when I placed the order. I received the frame within 2 weeks of ordering it. The USPS delivered it right to my door on Guam. It arrived in a box 5 inches by 12 inches and 43 inches long. It was quite heavy, over 45 pounds. Inside everything was protected by cardboard and bubblewrap. The nuts and bolts are assorted by type, clearly marked, and shrink-wrapped to a piece of cardboard so nothing gets misplaced. A few extra pieces are provided, as are an allen wrench and a small open-end wrench. The instructions are in pictograph form and are more clear and easier to use than poorly translated verbal instructions would be. The long pieces (the 4 sides and the primary central support) are folded in the box, and they unfold on hinges which re-enforce the joint and make it very strong, and the slats appear to be solid metal. I put this together in about 30 minutes while watching my favorite football team drop another one. The result is very strong, and as long as you tighten the nuts the frame will be solid and not make noise. I highly recommend that you use a small crescent wrench rather than the little open end wrench that is provided. The CA king frame is true to size, and a lip along the edge keeps the mattress from sliding off. You'll want to put plywood or pegboard between the mattress and the slats. The legs have plastic caps which are all I need on my ceramic tile floor, but if I had a wood floor or didn't want to mar a carpet, I'd buy something to put under them. ... show more

Okay, I really expected this to be partly assembled and just a fold out. NO!!!!! Nothing assembled. I do admit it was easy to assemble, but not quick. The instructions are horrible. Matching part number to item is...well the screws etc, they are NOT labeled, it is count and guess. Then the cross bars. I suggest using a rubber mallet. In the end I got it together, but that middle leg. I have stubbed my toe on it so many times already in 4 days. I suggest getting a water noddle an cutting a slit in it and putting it around the leg. Less damage to the toes. But after it was together, it is very sturdy and stays in place. I can say it is very strong. Two adults sleep on it. Worth the money but just expect to assemble it all. Came shipped in sturdy box and parts were well wrapped inside. Assembly was very easy and end result was amazingly sturdy. Use in spare bedroom with an air mattress. If using an air mattress you will need a support under the mattress or the mattress will push through the ribs of the frame. I used a thin sheet of light foam insulation board, the purple colored one. Works perfect with in-laws, one being close to 200 lb and one over 200 lbs.
