This frame is very sturdy and great for the price. The only part I was unhappy with was the fact that there was supposed to be a lip to hold the mattress in one spot better and there is not so it does slide around a bit, mostly at the bottom

    • HAAGEEP Platform King Bed Frame with Storage No Box Spring Needed
I was switching from a queen bed to a king bed, so I needed a new king size frame. When I saw this frame I was interested because it mentioned that no box spring is necessary. That save me from buying a box spring. I assembled the frame in less than two hours. That's good because I'm old and I can't kneel down. When I received the package, it was ripped, so I took pictures before opening it. All parts were there, but the main support beam with the center support leg was bent on one end. I straightened it with pliers and then assembled everything. The UPS driver left before I could even answer the door, so I couldn't report the damage. The frame says the mattress will fit down into the frame so that the mattress won't slide off the frame. For me, that was not the case. the mattress is about one inch wider than the frame. But the mattress still has not slid off the frame. We have slept on the new mattress and frame for six days now and have had no problems. I don't anticipate any future problems. ... show more

So I read the reviews mentioning damage and I gambled on it anyways and… mine was damaged. It wasn’t much damage but it was similar to others I saw and read about. So the legs are apart of the head board and foot (board?), and the side supports bolt to them. The foot part had a good size ding in the top that compressed the sides outward. There’s no exposed tears in the frame but it does seem like it would be a vulnerable place for a weak point. As far as assembly it wasn’t too hard matching lettered parts to a diagram, and I used blue loctite so nothing would come loose. ... show more

    • Not compatible with headboard, squeaky after a few months of use
I've had this for nearly a year and it has become soooo squeaky. Like unbearably squeak if you shift slightly. Also kind of a pain to assemble and it wasn't compatible with my headboard so I just had to prop my headboard up against the wall.

    • Happy overall, but…
I loved the extra height this bed frame provides. We switched from a traditional mattress and box spring to a thick mattress but didn’t want to lose the height we were used to. This was the perfect solution. It looks nice and is easy to put together but one of the main screw holes didn’t match up so I couldn’t get a screw all the way through to bolt it like is intended (but based on location and how gravity works, not the big of a deal so I kept. As advertised!! Got the Cali king. Took me (a weak girl) like 20 minutes to assemble. Exactly as advertised but like even nicer. You can disassemble it in like ten minutes so that's a huge plus for moving/storing. Got it in June 2019, and it's now mid October so we've used it 4 months. It hasn't changed. It hasn't peeped. It hasn't dropped or drooped. I'm 150lbs, spouse is 200lbs, dog is 30lbs. I never feel either of them get in or out of bed... And the dog jumps! Matress doesn't slide. Stubbing your toe isn't bad with the wide curves edges. Storage is amazing. We keep talking about putting things under it but it's so symmetrically spacious we just leave it and the dog hides under there. I can personally crawl under the bed from one side to the other. I also jump on the bed more than a normal adult so it's good. ... show more
