I got these to replace some speakers in a set of bookshelf speakers. I modified the boxes to be air tight. Sealed it up completely. Installed the crossover on the back and wow. I was amazed at the sound quality. They may be for a car but these jam great in the pool house.

Speakers are great I placed in fering of my motorcycle they are really nice and loud but I had to not use the cross overs they sent with and tweeters I had to buy a bass blocker cause cross over did not filter the bass comeing in from head unit but as far as Speakers they are awesome with few modifications they work great very happy with them after lil modifications ... show more

    • Great sounding replacement speakers
I installed these in my classic 240Z. The previous speakers were blown out and had tiny magnets on them. These new ones have a massive magnet and sound really good. The connectors are push pin style so you just strip the speaker wire, push the pin down and it locks snugly into place. It made installation a breeze and I didn't have to worry about whether or not the female spade pins fit properly or not. For stock replacement, I would make a pigtail connector so you aren't cutting your stock wiring harness up but that's just me. I always like to be able to go back to stock if neccesary. I haven't hooked up the included crossover and tweeters yet, as I need to figure out a mounting location for them but if the quailty is similar to the 6.5s, then I should be in good hands. ... show more
