GulfStream themselves are unbelievably cool! When you need good old AMERICAN Customer Service look no further. Finally the dealer and manufacturer who are completely American, helpful and knowledgeable in Amazon and ACTUALLY HELP YOU! As for the heat pump itself, it's AMAZING. My family describes it as, "swimming in bath water", that's how efficient and working perfectly my GulfStream is performing. Look no further. UPDATE: Had an issue with the main board and the WiFi board, called CS and the sent out a brand new majn board and brand new WiFi board at NO CHARGE VIA EXPEDITED SHIPPING. I have had the Gulfstream Heatpump (purchased not on Amazon) for about 6 years to heat my pool and with 2 very minor issues it has worked flawlessly - the customer service team was excellent each time, going out of their way to make sure that I was up and running again in the shortest time!

I had a dog that needed therapy daily so I decided to put a heater on my pool. One of my customers owns a large pool company and got me the unit and installed it almost 9 years ago. I run this unit everyday at about 86 degrees . My grandkids love the warm water especially being from Oklahoma. I had two small Issues the unit over 9 years and it was fixed within 2 days. The technician for the company just left my house. I had a small error on my screen that I was unsure of. He came over and calibrated it and it is now working perfect again. I know most reviews are negative in general across the board for good and service, rarely hearing the good stuff. I will tell you about the good stuff regarding Gulf Stream heat pumps. It has worked well for over 20 years. It has needed a couple of board and heat sensors over the years and that is all. Better yet, the Tampa Bay service technician, Justin Kenneth, is knowledgeable, polite and professional and is a joy to work with. I will be a fan and customer for many years. ... show more

    • Pool temp not the same as what the heat pump was showing
I use the heater only a few times a year. Gulf Stream, the maker of the unit, wanted credit card info before the repair man came. I asked what the cost would be to replace the heat sensor. The repair man showed on time and fixed the unit. I got a bill in the mail the next day less that the estimate. I can't ask for a better service call. I am now hoping replaced part is a good one. ... show more

    • Great heater - once it got fixed!
We have only had this up & running for 2 days. The pool never got above 84F despite the temps being in the 70's. This morning the machine wasn't working and the display reads "LOW REFRIGERANT PRESSURE" meaning it already leaked. We called for service; let's see what happens and how quickly. IF it is fixed in a timely fashion and lasts then I'll up my review, but for now it's just a pile of expensive parts in line with my pool flow. UPDATE 8/2/23: Sorry but I totally forgot about this! We had someone come to the house, he found a slight crack in the weld/braze for the copper tubing and all the refrigerant leaked out. He re-brazed it, fully evacuated the system and recharged it. SUCCESS! Works GREAT and keeps our pool nice and hot just like we love it! So, I’m upping this to 4 stars (sorry, can’t give 5 stars because of the early issue). ... show more

    • Love the heat pump and the company stands behind it!
We installed this over the Christmas holidays and upon initial power on, had a low coolant warning. I generally don't like dealing with support, but this experience was awesome. I called the day after Christmas early in the morning, and they had someone here by 10:00 am. It could not have been any easier. I gave them my S/N and address and they handled everything. My pump is running flawlessly now and we are enjoying 85 degree water in December! ... show more

    • Not very reliable.
Just over a year old and the heater developed a leak. Glufstream took my credit card before they would dispatch, never told me how much it would be or what was wrong with before doing the work and charged over $700 in labor to fix it. Complete rip-off
