- Documentation (4/5): Nothing included with the product. It would’ve been nice to know what the manufacturer claims as far as compatibility with instrument finishes, particularly nitrocellulose lacquer. According to the Amazon product listing, the yoke is covered in silicon padding, and although I’m unable to confirm the material, if that’s correct than it’s not compatible with a nitro-finished instrument. Since compatibility is unclear, I plan to use cotton cloth covering on the yokes for hanging any nitro-finished instruments. - Functionality (5/5): The design mimics that of the most popular market-leading product, with a rotatable and bendable yolk to accommodate instruments with different neck/headstock shapes. It appears solid, mounted to the wall easily, and worked well to hang both acoustic and solid body guitars undergoing work in my shop. - Quality (3/5): Material is some type of hardwood, although not sure what species—it looks a bit like black walnut but not 100%. I cut a slice off the bottom bevel of one hangar and the wood is solid and void-free throughout. While the materials and design appear sound, the workmanship is a little off—bevels were not symmetrical, ends were not cut square in all cases, and mounting holes were slightly (~1 mm) off-center. - Value (4/5): This product is priced at about half the price of the most popular manufacturer’s comparable product. Taking into account the overall performance and quality of the item, I rate this an “above average” value. BOTTOM LINE (16/20): I recommend this product, with caveats regarding build quality and the unconfirmed compatibility issue with nitrocellulose instrument finishes. ... show more

The guitar mounts that are made of wood, specifically in this style, are the most useful kind. They look great, are pretty easy to install, and have the correct claw, to keep your instrument safe and hanging in a secure position. The price is right. This is the real article here man. Can’t go wrong.

I ordered the 3-pack of guitar hooks and the last one out of the box was missing an end cap. This sucks because I already put up the other two and because this was shipped by Amazon, I can't just get a replacement end cap or replace just the one hook. The entire 3-pack has to be returned and replaced. I will not be taking the others off the wall and shipping them back. This policy sucks. Too bad because they're nice hooks otherwise. They only get one star because of the defective hook in the box. UPDATE: Spoligod reached out to me after seeing my review and offered to refund the purchase price. I would have been happy to have just gotten a replacement for the defective hook, but this is what they offered me.
