  • Beginner practice amp
Color: White
The JUSTPRO mini amplifier is exactly that, a tiny amplifier and not much more. It has a volume and gain control and runs on a 9v battery. An instrument cable is also included. What's not included? TONE. I have been looking for a small, portable practice amp and decided to give the JUSTPRO a try. It does the job of amplifying my guitar, but there is absolutely no color to the sound coming out. Even when turning up the gain all the way the distortion sounds flat, thin, and tinny. But hey, this is a tiny 5W amplifier and would be good for those just getting into playing guitar. I got this for myself, but I'll end up gifting it to my 13 year old daughter. She will be getting her first guitar soon and this will be perfect for her. ... show more

  • Cute little toy for youngsters.
Color: Orange
Make no mistake, this is more of a toy than anything else. BUT, it does respond like a "real" amp which should give youngsters some fun when they start exploring guitar music. The fact that you can plug in an external music device makes this unit a nifty little external speaker. Granted, the sound quality is what you would expect from a little plastic amp, although you can actually hear the differences that the tone controls have on the sound. I got it as a novelty / decoration in my studio as it resembles an actual full sized expensive and popular brand of professional amp. Given all this, I do think the price might be a bit more than it should be, but I still recommend this product. ... show more

  • Keep in mind it is a "mini"
Color: White
This is a great little amp if you want to practice but don't want the bother of headphones. The sound quality is good... remember it isn't going to sound like a Marshall stack, it is a mini... You can run it off of a 9v battery, or 9v pedalboard power. I do wish it had a rechargeable battery. Controls are simple, Gain, Volume, and the On/Off switch. 1/4" input for your guitar, a 1/8" Aux input, and 1/8" headphone jack. Simple, easy, and works well. ... show more

  • Just not worth it...
Color: White
I knew this 5 watt amp would not be a replacement for any existing amps, but I thought it would put out a bit more power and sound somewhat usable. I was wrong. The sound was lousy, it was tinny, and did not do much at all. This isn't a viable practice amp for a beginner, it simply loses the joy of the guitar. And when I plugged a 9V adapter into it (while having the battery in it) it did not even work. This one is a hard pass. ... show more

  • Not a bad practice amp, just not a very good one either
Color: White
Okay, I am just getting started wiht electrics having played acoustic ukulele actually. I just needed something that I could use for practicing at home thisyear, as I get more used to it for the usually holiday performances at the end of the year. This mini amp is okay, but don't expect to hear your beautiful tones coming out of it. It sounds like it is constructed, like coming out of a little box. I like that they included a cable, and maybe it isn't the greatest cable either but it at least worked for me. It runs on a 9 volt battery, although if I'm goin g to keep using, I'll have to find a space AC adapter. There was some feedback actually, and I stretched to the limmits of the cable and it mostly went away.I guess it is good because it is small and you can hear something, but if you are working on something nuanced, better to just get something a little better. Though adequate for a beginner like me. ... show more

  • Great little portable amp
Color: Orange
I am not exactly David Gilmour on the guitar but I like to play a little bit. I generally keep myself busy with a video game that uses real guitars but sometimes I just want to practice without firing up a console. That's where this amp comes in. It's small but packs just enough power to work as a practice amp. Sound quality is good enough but not spectacular. Overall, this is a nice unit. Recommended. ... show more

  • The price is right for what it is!
Color: White
This JUSTPRO Mini Guitar Amp has value for just one application. It is just right for that 8- to 12-year-old with their first inexpensive electric guitar. It is not a very good (bedroom volume) practice amp for those who are a bit older and are starting to become serious about playing the guitar. The amp does have a couple of very nice features; A headphone input for silent playing, and an aux input so you can play along with music from a phone or other devices. And let's not forget that running off a 9v battery makes it travel friendly. All good stuff for those young "wanabe" pickers. The sound and tonal qualities will never satisfy anyone who has advanced past the beginner stage. If you need a decent practice or travel amp, then you will need to spend more money. But if you know a youngster wants to have some fun with their first axe, this would be a good value purchase. ... show more
