  • not bad
all good except mine had a nut on its handle that clearly had a wrong thread, i.e. would not even stay on. Seems like quality control to me.

  • Great for light duty, mine snapped a jaw with moderate load.
I was very impressed with this vise when I got it. It's small, looks nice, and was easy to clamp onto the edge of my workspace. I've used it to clamp small woodworking pieces several times and it's been everything I would expect a vise to be. Today, I needed to unthread a shift knob from a shift extender. I placed it into the vise and tightened it so that it would not spin when I was turning the knob. It seemed like no matter how tight i got it, the extender was still spinning. I continued to adjust the vise inward until I suppose I adjusted it too much and one of the jaws snapped right off. I've had it for about two months so I'm not sure if there's any kind of coverage for this, I couldn't find a way to contact the seller directly on my order page so I'm just leaving this review instead. Based purely on my own experience: Fantastic for light duty, be very careful pushing it or you just might make the vise's jaw drop. ... show more

  • Versatile
What I like most about this vice is its ability to used wherever you have a place to clamp it. i have only had a short time but I have used it in several different locations where I've been working. All you need is a place to clamp it and you're good to go. The jaws hold tight I haven't had a problem with anything I'm holding shifting while I'm using it. I've noticed people mentioning that the jaws aren't parallel but it's in the description that the jaws have a "toe-in" feature which is the reason for that. My only complaint is that the rod to tighten the clamp to a table or whatever is small which makes tightening it a little difficult. That being said, the clamp does hold tight and so far hasn't worked loose in use. All in all a great little vice, one I'm glad i purchased I'd give it a 5 if it weren't for the small clamp rod so 4.5* ... show more

  • Great little vice
This vice is working perfectly for what I need it for. It's small enough that I can use it on my little workbench and versatile enough that I can move it as needed. Seems to be strong, but I do use 2 C-clamps to make it a bit more solid. Overall, a decent purchase.

  • For small projects
Vise faces did not align perfectly so I glued 3/8 plywood to each face with shims behind the plywood faces. Vise is made in India. Once the faces were aligned the vise works well, as long as you don't crank it down real hard. Good for small projects.

  • Well made!
Nice heavy duty vise for the money. It will clamp to almost anything.

  • High quality small portable wood vise
This is a well designed and well made wood vise. It's not for banging out auto parts or breaking rusted parts free, it's for holding wood. Add 2 permanent softwood jaws and you still have a 3" opening. Since I don't have space for a full time installation, the clamp on feature is perfect for me. It holds well and stores away easily. ... show more

  • Good vise.
Great little vise but it’s only as good as what you attach it to.
