  • Powerful and good software

So far I love this charger. I'm getting 80A and 19+ kW power to my Silverado EV. The app is great. The setup was a little weird, but worked fine and didn't take long. The wallbox itself does not take up much space.

  • Industrial strength 80 amp EV charger
Size: Type 1 (SAE J1772) Color: Black
Comparable with all EV’s Quality built with an aluminum box. Making it highly durable and will last a lifetime. Not the best looking EV charger out there. But it’s durable. Easy to set up and use. The app is good and WiFi works perfectly with the external antenna. Built in Canada. Highly recommend The wire inlet is metric at 32 mm. So will need a m32 cable gland or conduit coupler. ... show more

  • Will accept 2 awg Au wire.
Size: Type 1 (SAE J1772) Color: Black
I ran 100 amp service to it with 2 awg Au wire. I wasn’t sure if I would need to use a junction/ shutoff switch to drop down to 3 or 4 awg copper as it’s advertised for that gauge copper. I was pleasantly surprised when the 2 awg fit in the terminals inside the charger housing. It’s a little tight in the current monitoring ring but it all fits. Very nice charger that delivers as described, I use it to charge a 205kw GM ultium battery. It gives me 30 miles per hour of charge while pulling 79 amps. The app takes a little patient to set up, I had to reread the directions a few times. When inputting your kw per hour rate you have to have a 0 in front of the decimal. Ie 0.0895 ... show more

  • Works, great price point
Size: Type 1 (SAE J1772) Color: Black
Got this for my Lyriq since I have the optional 19.2kw charger. So far just wiring as 40A charger since I had some 6/3 laying around from an old hot tub. First off the provide lugs but don't provide torque for the set screws on the lugs only to torque the lug to the PCB. Contacted support, some confusion but answered right away. They didn't know and it was early so they were going to ask the technical writer or engineer when they get in and get back to me. Never did. The lugs are similar to ilsco lugs I have at work so I pulled that manual and figured out 45in-lb is appropriate for my wire. They need to provide a torque table for the lugs they source. The hole for conduit is some odd size, metric PG maybe. Was able to jam a 1" plastic npt fitting in there but it is undersized. The shrink tube they provide in no way is fitting over those lugs. Maybe if you stretch it with pliers, used larger stuff I luckily had on hand. They recommend using 4awg for a 100A circuit to feed this 80A charger. Not sure if they want you to use Teflon insulation? Anyways this just seems wrong. I'm not an electrician, I am an electrical engineer and have a decent understanding of this stuff but I don't study the NEC handbook regularly although a do have copies of it at my desk. Anyways seems like a good way to start a fire. #3 cu at a minimum would make sense. Had to resort to the full online manual to get the WiFi connected. I do a lot of networking so not that hard but my wife is never accomplishing this. I have a dedicated 2.4 network for IoT devices already set up and this box has an external antenna. I also have an AP in my garage less that 10ft line of sight to this thing. No password on their local SSID, not great security.. Can add one but really should have something to start with. Hopefully not all bad, just my observations installing this thing. Haven't plugged my car in yet, this is at my vacation home and wanted to get this installed before bringing the car here so I can get back home. Keeping a 14-50 outlet on hand as a backup in case this thing doesn't work. I'm an early adopter, don't want to be stranded. No real public charging infrastructure in northern VT. Will update review after using. At my main home I installed an Autel 48A maxicharge since I cant pull 80A from my home garage panel. Update: Used this charger several times with my Lyriq. Still set to 40A limit, haven't upgraded wiring yet to get 80A. Works fine. Firmware update came out and that seemed to go well. App is still lacking, if you go directly to the device IP in a browser you can access things like software current limit which isn't currently in app so at least it is there, just not as easily accessible as it should be through app. ... show more

Purchased the Grizzl-E Ultimate 06/20/2024. Had the unit installed 06/22/2024. The unit had error the first time it was powered on. Filled out tech support ticket with manufacturer. Will have to wait for support from manufacturer……… Update June 28, 2024. The manufacturer contacted me and said “Based on what they were seeing “ this charger was damaged during transport and will need to be replaced. • Works great, but it will only take #6 AWG wires
Size: Type 1 (SAE J1772) Color: Black
There is no space to connect #3 AWG wires. The doughnut for the CT is too small 2 #3 barely fit through. BUT if you are able to connect it, it will give you the fastest charge I've ever seen in class 2 chargers. I recommend using soft #3 cable if you can find it in the electrical supply. Also, to make 100% it needs #2 AWG, but it will never fit. ... show more

Size: Type 1 (SAE J1772) Color: Black
So far so good! Had professionally installed. Connected to WiFi without an issue (which seems to have been a complaint on previous grizzl-e products). My vehicle (a Lyriq) is now charging at the full 19.2 kWh it’s capable of. Very well built and solid unit. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an 80A home charging setup. ... show more
