they work almost instantly and taste great, to me. the days I work long hours I make sure i have them with me and very convenient in the case. I'm not a fan of some of the flavored ones, as I just drink black coffee, but the plain espresso flavor is great.

I'll be honest - I've never dipped or used chewing tobacco. I saw these available to request for review, and saw it was mint flavored and has caffeine, which I love both of. So, as soon as it was delivered, I was excited to give it a try! I opened it up, popped one of the pouches in my cheek, and let it do its thing. The initial flavor was sweet, coffee, and lightly minty. Not a specific mint, just generic mint. If I had to compare, it reminds me of the flavor of Andes mints. After the first hit of coffee and sweet mint, I was hit with a very weird, salty flavor.... and the salt and other... weird... flavors kind of took over from there. I don't know if they're using some tobacco flavorings to mimic the real deal, but it's kinda off-putting to my palate. The pouch gets squishy and a little slimy after a few minutes. I don't think anyone who's not used to the experience of dip or chewing tobacco would really enjoy this much, but I could definitely see how this would be an awesome, healthier replacement to help kick the habbit. I also didn't notice the energy or caffeine, but my tolerance is high, so not a problem with the product. ... show more

This is my fourth flavor buying and this is the flavor that has the least amount of flavor to me, compared to the other three flavors. I would highly suggest for newcomers to start with this vanilla flavor if you enjoy vanilla taste. I would rate 4.4 but not any option. Great taste, quality last a little less than the others but still remains for me a couple of hours. (Use to be a dipper / chewer) ** also you got to love the lids being able to store a pouch or two for a short amount of time) ... show more

    • Decent Substitute for Snus
Flavor Name: Wintergreen Size: 18 Count (Pack of 3)
I used to love Snus for the ease and versatility of it. I had done it on and off over the years and never had a problem taking a break for months or even years at a time. But the last two times I attempted it, I had a much harder time giving it up, so much so that I decided to end the habit permanently in fear I'd not be able to stop again. The only thing that allowed me to stop those two times was substituting with something non-addictive, riding out the cravings, then weaning off the substitution. I had heard about dip substitutions before, and tried several, but none of them were very similar to the real thing until I found this in a tobacco shop well on vacation. Thankfully I was able to find more on Amazon, and have been able to purchase these as needed ever since. Pros: [Wintergreen] taste, size, and fit in the lip is similar to the real thing. Spitless. Does not contain tobacco, nicotine, or other heavily studied and proven causes of cancer. Three can pack can last a while. Doesn't burn the gums. Con: Once opened, the pouches can dry out pretty quickly. I would not say I have any noticeable differences in energy, but if you do too many in a day, you can feel some signs of too much caffeine. ... show more

10/3/23 EDIT : Grinds completely changed the formula and recipe, and unfortunately it's for the worse, I'm talking I can't even use them anymore and threw out three orders worth (30 total cans) that Amazon refunding me for. The new formula made the pouches so dry and with a distinct chemical tasting menthol flavoring. I tried putting water in the can and shaking but didn't help, just complete different feel and taste. If you look at the pictures I uploaded, the older/better version is on the right in all the pictures, you can see the difference in packaging, looks, and ingredients. The new formula has no water and includes chicory and stabilized menthol, compared to the old that includes water but neither of those other two items, and that has made all the difference. You can even see in the third picture the distinct visual difference between the two. So after this happened from ordering through Amazon I figured I'd skip the middle man and go straight through the source, Grinds, and ordered 20 wintergreen cans that arrived yesterday. Unfortunately the same exact thing, new formula that I hate. I called Grinds customer service and told them my concerns and issues, and well guess what, I'm not crazy after all. She confirmed the pouches used to be processed/made in Europe, and that manufacturer owned the rights to the "recipe" (which doesn't make any sense to me?), but since Grinds recently changed to a US based company, they tried to get the formula as close as they could, but obviously failed at that. So now everything made sense and it's pretty straightforward, the Grinds that everyone knew and loved for many years, changed recipes/formulas and is not the same as it used to be. They did say they only have ONE flavor that is still being processed by the old company and has the old formula but had no idea when that one would switch as well. It's unfortunate because now I'll have to find a new product, and I think they are going to continue losing a TON of business and customers because of it. ORIGINAL COMMENT : I'm not kidding when I say that I've tried close to every single alternative to Copenhagen pouches, at least 20+, and none have come close enough to where I could actually quit real chew. But Grinds is making it so easy to the point that I haven't bought real chew in almost a week and it's honestly not even on my mind. It makes me so happy and honestly has given me almost a new lease on life and a ton of motivation! I bought the wintergreen flavor Grinds, they lasts forever, are juicy, not too overpowering with either the Wintergreen or coffee flavors, and produce a lot of spit. The other big plus for me (maybe it's different for some) is they do not have a really bad and almost painful burn like a lot of the tobacco alternatives do. There's a little bit, like what you get if you've been a regular tobacco user for years, but not the "chemically" kinda burn, you know what I'm talking about. To help with the transition and instead of quitting both tobacco and nicotine cold turkey, about 1-2x a day I combine 2 Grinds pouches with 2 "on" (the brand, which they sell at gas stations) Wintergreen 2mg nicotine only pouches. But the other dips throughout the day will just be Grinds. I'm mad I didn't do this sooner, before I didn't think it was even a possibility to quit, especially after trying so many different alternative options, but Grinds has provided something no other company or brand has been able to do before, thank you so much!!! ... show more
