Features

  • Fully clad, tri-ply stainless steel construction: Each design is an ultra-sturdy 3mm thick with a stable base, thanks to two layers of stainless steel plus a highly conductive aluminum core that heats up evenly (no hot spots).
  • Rivet-free, the way to be: Welded-on handles make for an easy-to-clean interior
  • Stay-cool, non-slip handles: A V shape at the base lets air circulate, while the textured, stonewashed finish and gentle curvature feel great in-hand.
  • Made with clean, non-toxic materials: Thanks to the diamond-infused ceramic coatingmade from sand!our two nonstick options are non-toxic and will never blister or peel (unlike traditional nonstick). Diamond reinforcement adds durability, but also allows for superior browning (it is roughly 4x more conductive than copper).
  • Anti-yellowing technology: We treated each piece with color-stable technology, an all-over heat-resistant treatment that prevents discoloration and keeps your cookware looking brand-new.
  • Made with community and the planet in mind: We work with a manufacturer thats certified to meet international environmental and ethical standards. Theyre reducing carbon dioxide emissions and performing working conditions audits

  • It's ok
Size: 11 Piece Cookware Pots and Pans Set
It's generally ok but has a few issues: 1.The aluminum core is not sealed on the rim, so if you put it into dishwasher, it will slowly corrode. I noticed it after ~5 visits to dishwasher and switched to manual washing. 2.If you try to pour a liquid (e.g. a beef stock) from the big pot, the liquid will run along the outer surface of the pot instead of forming a proper directional stream. No such issue with an old Millerhaus pot. 3.The bigger pans are not heated evenly on the outer ~1.5 inches when I use it on Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop 4.My wife finds the single handle pans and pots from this set to be too heavy and uncomfortable for her. ... show more

  • Favorites!
Size: 10" and 12" Frying Pan Set
I realllllllly love these pans. I have a few dutch ovens, and these pans, and I'm convinced that's all I need in my kitchen that usually serves 2 people, and periodically serves up to 6-8 people. Here's my review after owning these for about a year. These pans have even heat distrubution, wash nicely, nothing sticks, they haven't chipped or scratched, they haven't warped. I love the depth of them. They're awesome. I'm using them on a gas range and haven't tried them on other ranges. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Not as pictured
Size: 10" and 12" Frying Pan Skillet Set
I was excited to order and receive this set (Greenpan is awesome) but I was disappointed upon unpacking the pans that the larger one (12") does not have a nonstick coating! All the photos in the listing show the pans as the same - both with nonstick coating, but as you can see, the larger one is just a regular stainless steel pan. I sent back the set. Careful with this purchase. ... show more

  • Great Set of Ceramic Nonstick Pans
Size: 10" and 12" Frying Pan Set
The GreenPan X Food 52 Essentials Tri-Ply Ceramic Nonstick 10 and 12 inch Frying Pans are the real-deal in nonstick cooking. For about five years, five days out of every week, I've used a nonstick skillet to cook my breakfast--three scrambled eggs seasoned to perfection and topped with cheese just after they come out of the pan. Although I always used silicone and wood utensils, over time the nonstick coating wore away from my pan. So it was time to replace it. I came across the GreenPan and decided to give it a try. The best way I can describe them is WoW, what a great set of pans. With the other pan, I always used a small amount of butter or olive oil to keep the eggs from sticking, and I did so on first use of the GreenPan. However, the butter did not spread as evenly or easily on the GreenPan as it did on my heavily used nonstick pan, but I decided to press on. To my surprise, the eggs did not stick to the unbuttered parts of the pan, and they looked and tasted great. The next day, I decided to trust the nonstick coating on the GreenPan and forgo the butter. Again, the eggs did not stick to the pan and the final result was just as the day before--perfect. On both days, after cooking was complete, I wiped the pan with a paper towel first to clean the egg residue from the side before using a mild dish detergent and a soft cloth to give it a final cleaning. While cooking properties are the most important aspect of any cooking pan or skillet, functionality, aesthetics and how the parts come together in your hand are also important. Here's my evaluation of those characteristics. 1. Functionally, the nonstick properties work best at low temperatures and with nonabrasive cooking utensils. Stick to low temps and nothing will stick to these pans. 2. Aesthetically they are beautiful; stainless steel on the outside with a greenish/blue nonstick coating adorning the cooking surface, which is not interrupted by handle rivets on the inside. That in-itself is a major plus, because inside rivets usually do not have nonstick properties and food usually sticks to the rivets. 3. The handle and pan come together to form aesthetically pleasing, well balanced cookware. The 12 inch pan may be a bit bulky or heavy for smaller cooks, but it is appropriately sized for me--a 200+ lb. male. In addition to the 10 and 12 inch frying pans, I also received a glass lid with metal rim for the 12 inch pan and two pan protectors, which allow the pans to be stacked without damaging the nonstick surface. The three attached photos were taken during cooking, after cooking but prior to wiping with a paper towel and the final photo was taken before soap/water wash but after a light wipe with a paper towel. The GreenPan X Food 52 Essentials Tri-Ply Ceramic Nonstick 10 and 12 inch frying pans receive a strong buy recommendation from me. ... show more

  • Quality design and great except for the handles.
Size: 10" and 12" Frying Pan Set
The media could not be loaded. Food52, originally and best-known for hosting weekly (i.e., 52 per year) food contests, designed these frying pans and sourced a third party, GreenPan, to manufacture it. Thus, the name, five two by GreenPan, which is also a pretty reputable and well-established brand in this industry. I purchased the 10” and 12” frying pan set. They both feature GreenPan’s Thermolon (ceramic) coating. This is important to keep in mind, because high heat quickly wears down the ceramic coating. In addition, you need to be mindful of protecting the coating when cleaning the pan, and should hand wash these pans with a soft sponge. What I’m getting at here, is that these are really not intended as all-purpose frying pans. For high heat, you should use an uncoated stainless-steel pan. What’s included: There are, of course, the two frying pans. In addition, the larger frying pan includes a glass lid. Finally, there are two foam pan protectors. You place it between the pans so you can safely stack them. I really like these pans, and I have four pans from the food52 lineup. Another thing to note is that the larger frying pans run half a size off. So, for example, the 10” frying pan measures 10.5”. That means you cannot use standard size lids with these pans. However, if you purchase their 4QT sauté pan, it includes a lid that is also a perfect fit for their 10” frying pan (see picture). One thing that I really like about these frying pans is that there are no rivets or attachment points inside the cooking area opposite the handle. This makes it easy to clean as there’s no hard-to-reach areas where food or oil can accumulate. Both of these pans have really good weight to it, and a very solid feel. Its three-ply stainless-steel base is solid and heavy. It’s much heavier than my current 10” and 12” frying pans. Due to the thickness of the material, this pan takes a little longer to heat up; however, the pan heats up pretty evenly. The non-stick aspect is excellent. I can fry an egg on these pans and it’s so smooth that the cooked egg glides side-to-side when I move the pan. One thing that I don’t like is the handle. The handle is like the opposite of ergonomic. The V-shape design is awkward and uncomfortable to hold, especially when there’s food in the frying pan. The larger the pan, the heaver it is, and this even more noticeable on the 12” pan than the smaller pans. I’ll probably buy a silicone grip for these pans. On the other hand, one thing that is nice about the handle is that there’s a Y split right before the weld joint to the pan, which is good for preventing heat transfer from the pan to the handle. In summary, these are excellent non-stick frying pans for low or medium heat uses. The non-stick aspect is excellent, although it requires special care and maintenance. The only downside is that the design of the handle makes it uncomfortable to hold. ... show more
